There as been a terrorist attack at the Tour de France! The hotel that was hosting the teams Garmin-Sharp, Omega Pharma - Quickstep, Europcar, and Lampre was raided by terrorists at approximately 2:30 AM this morning. The Gunshots were heard around that time, and three bodies were discovered outside the hotel around 2:45 by the local police. It is believed there are at least 10 terrorists inside the hotel and they are holding the occupants hostage. The terrorists' motives and demands are unknown. A GIGN unit have come into the Alps, and have set up an operating base in the local police station. Tour de France race director Christian Prudhomme, says that the race is postponed for now, and the remaining stages will most likely be cancelled. The most notable riders being held in the hotel are: Yellow Jersey holder Jurgen Janssens, Canadian Ryder Hesjedal, Frenchman Thomas Voecker, Time Trial World Champion Tonry Martin, and former Giro winner Damiano Cunego. The GIGN and French Government have decided to make the demands of the terrorists and a little about them public information. The terrorists have identified themselves as members of an Islamic, anti-Semitic group. They have a few demands, some of them more outrageous than others. First, they demand that all records of Jurgen Janssens, whose mother is a Jew, be erased. All medical records, cycling achievements, anything that says anything about him must be erased, including his life. They also demand that all Muslim prisoners in France be freed and deported to the middle east. They say if their demands are not met, they will execute the riders starting with Janssens, and by order of General Classification. These executions would take place once every 3 hours.
