Not much happened for my team today! Glad to avoid the crashes atleast, and the humour in the report was well implemented! I enjoyed the report a lot!

Still don't know what to expect. If our puncheurs survive the remaining stages without losing too many time on the very best, we may get something not too shabby out of this. But you never know what happens when there are already big guns losing time now.

Wow, CSC vs Repsol for the relegation, and with that 13 point swing CSC have halved the gap.
If Teurel can hang on over the hill tomorrow it's probably saftey for CSC.

Horrible way to finish the season...
I just can hope for a stage win now and have to hope to stay on the promotion spot even without the GC points here...
Iglinski being my main sprinter here says enough as well with Van Heerden and Cucinotta being behind him. |

arrgh, I´m really happy we not still right down in the relegation zone with Lövkvist and Hoogerland loosing much in this "easy" stage....
Nice seeing Ahlstrand upfront even if he wasn´t able to fight all the way. |

As soon as you said there were splits, I just knew that Gautier was behind. I just knew it.
I just have to hope that Cousin and Vansummeren can make up for his failure. Just like they have been forced to do all season.

Really happy with second, but then with CSC winning its not ideal in the race to survive. Very encouraging that Acevedo survived without losing any time, compared to a lot of the favourites, maybe he could pick up a few valuable points. I have a feeling that every point will count.

Not good for Froome, but Dowsett missed the gaps at least.
Very interesting to see CSC and Repsol do so well. It's probably a case of 2 go down from CSC, Repsol and UPC, so they need all they can get!

Kupfernagel let's some personal grudge take priority over the team!!!!!
Then the leaderless team looses 3 1/2 minutes in 6k!!!!!!!
Oh Boy this season cannot end soon enough. We have found more ways to loose sprint races in a single season that I thought was possible.
I was not surprised that Kupfernagle found another way to loose, but to have the whole team give up and coast in takes my breathe away. I want to scream but nothing comes out.
Well it makes our options for the rest of the tour simple. Ride for individual glory, ride like it's your last day as a PRO RIDER because it very well might be...................

CSC and Repsol 1st and 2nd. Salerno crashing out of the race. Wonderful start!
Good thing Taborre avoided the crash at least, but I still doubt there will be enough gaps on the hilly stages to push him ahead of sprinters with bonus seconds.

Yay, make it even closer please! Lorenzetto came through unscathed, so I hope he will get something out of this tour. We can really use that.

3rd for Pedersen is awesome. Probably some revenge on cio for leaving him out of the preview
Even more awesome that some of the GC candidates lost time. Makes life slightly easier for Schreurs. |

Sorry for this slight delay, I had some appointments in the last few days and honestly, trying to get a decent report out of this mess of a stage wasn't the easiest task either

Bah I thought Schelling had it there! Oh well, he's had a great season so far, asking for more would just be greedy.

Now that's a huge fail by Lloyd and Visconti! They really should be able to survive such a stage. Now i can just hope for Jiao to do something good, just an 18th place here would be far too less and concerning. He really should play his local bonus now so far, a disappointing race for Oz.

What is wrong with Gautier? Seriously? His stats are on par with Zaini and yet this sort of shit happens. If I miss out on promotion I'm going to feel really pissed off because I feel that if Gautier had performed as he was supposed to all season this wouldn't be anywhere near this close.
Sorry for the rant but I just feel hard done by.

Oh good. It's not the first stage race this season either where Jaguar can't buy any luck, even when sending both Dowsett and Froome.
Well, looks like Meiji are well on course to sealing the Asia Tour standings.

No need for an excuse, even I was cursing for a moment when I went through groups and saw Gautier that far back.
I just took a look at the replay again. Gautier was already dropped once after the second climb because he was in the last third and the solid rider model fucked with him a bit.
He easily returned, had enough time to fully recover, but did not feel any need to have a good position on the Cat1 climb and after.

Well I will take that! A 1st and 6th on the day and the GC lead now! Just the sort of thing I was hoping would happen here! One great day like this and we should no longer have to fear for relegation and that has gone to plan!
