Brilliant stage! Again the Caethoven-Swift dynamic has worked very well, nice for Swift to take his last win of the season here, ahead of those pesky sprinting puncheurs.
This was more or less Corioni's last chance to prove he is worthy of a spot in the team next year. After 25th place here, I highly doubt he still will be a part of the team post-transfers.
Congratulations to SN! Dominant sprint by Vesuvio.

Brilliant stuff from Vesuvio! Trofimov also starting well considering the GC.
Hopefully Boasson Hagen is up for something on the next stage. Vanoverschelde not sprinting must be a good sign, thinking the Norwegian is some kind of a leader in whatever terrain this race
Fuck. Way too many points for the others here.
Was hoping for a 0-pointer for B&O all the way and one for Heineken today...close to worst possible start.

Corioni could be interesting for Metinvest . Just saying.
Congrats to Vesuvio, iam thrilled to see Puma-B&O battle here.
Disappointing stage for me, Goss was brilliantly positioned and let it all slip away, while Trofimov has gained a definite upper hand in the GC. It will be very hard for Phinney to claw back the lead in the TT if Trofimov is in the leader's jersey.
A very interesting stage there, quite selective at the front although it did come back together again at the end.
Wikipedia have surely done enough to seal the ProTour crown, so well done to them.
And wow. KoM jersey for Kwiatkowski and a shocker for Van den Broeck. Can't believe how badly the Belgian dropped there. How are B&O potentially coming out of this with more points than Puma???
Good efforts by Paterski and Gastauer. Pity they couldnt grab any stage points as they are unlikely to end up high in GC.

No, it won't. B&O should lead after this.
B&O have 3 guys with 76+ hill in Lombardia, I only have VDB. He really has to overperform and two of the other guys miss some split or something.
Let's assume they have 13 points advantage after this, that's what I quickly calculated as possible.
VDB finishes 11th, Guldhammer, Klemme and Grivko 24th, 25th, 26th. Disregarding the rest of the teams: 1 point advantage B&O.
Everyone saying this was ours to lose: it's close, but now it's B&Os to lose.
Simple as that.
