You know Losada is 31 years old and 30 in the story?
Anyway, good luck

Maybe not for a cyclist but 30 years for a man is young.. especially when life expectancy is 80+ and going up.
A challenging start down under for the team, I expect Ignatiev to get into the breaks. |

krisa - Thanks man, hope you're going to follow.
Selwink - Made mistake. I have no idea what i was thinking about at that moment , but somehow i wrote "young", corrected it. And thanks.
The Rider - Haha, true story bro. And yep , it will be quite challenging to get some great results at Australia with this squad.

Santos Tour Down Under - Stage 1
Flat stage with few hills for opening day. Nothing serious. Our first pick for today will be our main sprinter for this race, Porsev. We'll probably try to go in breakaway as well.
Nice conditions for cycling at Australia. Somewhere around 25 degrees and sunny day. Just a perfect cycling day.
Anyway, just as race started, we decided to send a guy in breakaway. It was Ignatiev who created BOTD with Stannard (Sky) , Tossato (Saxo) and Le Bon (FDJ).
Our photographers were so inspired by great nature of Australia, so they had to take one more picture of breakaway group. We decided to put that one here, as well, so here it is.
Anyway, group was compact. Only action worth notice was Ignatiev taking a KoM pass and definitely wearing KoM jersey for next stage.
At 25 kilometers , Stannard (Sky) and Ignatiev decided to attack. They managed to stay in front of the rest of the breakaway and now they're alone.
10 kms to go and peloton finally managed to catch breakaway. Now, trains are forming. 3 big trains are there , Katushas , Lottos and Vacansoleils one.
Now, short downhill and final sprint. Can we make it? Kolobnev did a great job on downhill and we got some advantage in front of others. It's now on Vicioso and Porsev. After great lead-out from Vicioso, it was only routine.
What a great 1-2 in my first race as manager. Alexander Porsev wins 1st stage of TDU!

Wow, didn't expect this amount of comments. Thanks so much, everyone! It was really great first stage.
I'll try to make report of 2nd stage tonight, but it will most probably be online tommorow.

Nice start, you must be really good or the difficulty is too low. Oh wait, it's only the STDU, never mind!

Note* - Just a quick note: I know this is awesome result, and i checked it twice and difficulty is on hard. If it gets too easy, i'll change it to extreme , but i doubt it. So these are probably 2 best stages in my PCM career, ever.
Santos Tour Down Under - Stage 2
After great stage and 1-2 yesterday, first hilly stage is in front of us. We're really confident and we're looking forward for this stage.
Today we decided not to attack , since we are going to need every single guy in our squad. However, Popovych (RadioShack) , Wynants (Belkin) and Rabon (OPQS) launched breakaway. Peloton let them go , so that was breakaway of the day.
That seemed like good attack, but group controlled it and finally got them at 20kms to go banner. Now, fun starts.
Few unsuccessful attacks from De Marchi (Cannondale) tired peloton and some of team-leaders were exhausted. We saw that as chance, and as Vicioso was only our guy on top, we decided to send him in attack , at last hill.
Favourites were looking each other, and meanwhile Vicioso was gaining time. He entered banner zone with 48" of advantage. Can this be second win in a row for Katusha?
He lost last atom of energy , but he made it! Vicioso won 2nd stage of TDU and GC jersey!
One more! Now, our guys behind has to focus. Can we get 2 guys on podium once again? Kolobnev did great leadout once again, so he and Losada finished on podium. Wow! But that's not all, Porsev was 4th!!!
Who could expect this? Damn this is awesome result! 1-2-3-4 this time!
Let's jump on results to see how standings looks right now.
