I guess the resistance killed Mario Guido as well in Qatar.. I'm probably going to add an update to it after part 1 of the season.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Hey everyone it's me ! So a great Part 1 of the season for me is over, with several wins in various races. Unfortunately the team isn't the best so I could've had a lot more with a better leadout, but these guys have ambition, and that's great. The Aufrazian championships are up next for me and I hope that the road race ends in a sprint. But if not, then I can still hope for a Top 10 depending on how many people attack.

Hey boss, Fabian here. I don't know the full calendar for the team but I know that we're racing Scheldeprijs. I'd really like to race there.
Thanks

They seem pretty hard, my goals weren't very easy either, who on Earth do you think is gonna get a top10 at Tirreno, Pirazzi? I wish. My goals are nigh on impossible, then you come back with worse ones!!! |

Trentino Hobbit, not Tirreno
With Pirazzi, it shouldn't be impossible(also have nationality bonus). Not easy though.
Brookes might be able to get a Turkey stage-win, shouldn't be too hard. Philly is hard though, being uphill iirc.
And your goals weren't too hard.
Scheldeprijs is realistic, Stage-win should be do-able as well, 21 chances. KoM isn't bad either, Pirazzi is a good guy for that with 84 FTR.

Well, Trentino involves a TTT, which means about 5 minute losses, are we going to get a confimed schedule any time soon, I'm just assuming I have all these races! |

Yeah, you have a confirmed schedule.
Look at the Season Break topic. 1 or 2 pages earlier, they said all of the wildcards were granted, except for a small list under that sentence

Looking ahead to Part 2
Here at Bardiani we are always looking to the future. Our start has been mediocre at best, a few decent results in Malaysia, but that's it. We look to get drastically better in what's to come. As an Italian team, our main goal has to be the Giro, we're looking for a few stage wins, and maybe even the King of the Mountains jersey for Pirazzi. Other than that, we hope to pick up a few more points across the board, to help improve our riders and our prestige.
Scheldeprijs
Trentino
Turkey
Giro
Norway
Philadelphia
Luxembourg
That is the full list of our schedule. It's challenging, but we look forward to it, and hopefully that will be enough. We still haven't decided who's riding where yet, and look for some I put from our riders over the next few days, but other than that our overriding emotion is one of optimism. Bring on Part 2 |

Hey Boss,
it's me, Tom-O. Just wanting to say that i will actually update my blog on our homepage regularly from now on. Actually, i think this is my first ever blog post. Anyway, what i wanted to ask is what races I'll be riding. I assume I'll be leading out Fab at Scheldeprijs and Philly? What other races are planned in? Would i make the long list for the Giro? Maybe you could drop me a mail to discuss things further?
Anway, i guess i should talk about my last race, which was the European time triall, for the Conti Championships. I'll be honest here, we were all quite atrocious. It was like we had a private bet running, about who could post the worst time. I was the one that would have won. It doesn't surprise me though, since i'm a quite shitty time triallist, and only took part for the fun. I assume it was the same for the other guys. If it weren't for Ciolek, we would have had the 4 worst riders. Well, i hope the road race will be better anway. I hope i can support Battaglin there for as long as possible!
Anyway, see y'alls soon!

Hello there Tom!
It's nice to see you here as well.
I'll start with the European Time Trial. It was indeed a terrible race for the team. 4 of the bottom 5 were from Bardiani, what a result. Only Ciolek broke our streak. We don't blame you though, we haven't any decent Time Trialists, so you were really there for the experience. In the road race Battaglin will be our leader on the hilly parcours, and we hope you can be of great assistance.
Now onto the main matter, race days! You are Fabian's main lead out, which gives you a good chance of race days. Scheldeprijs and Philadelphia are almost certain for you. You can more than make the long list for the Giro, you are firmly on the short list. However, as a team of Italians it'll be hard to choose between you, Sonny and Sacha. If we get the Tour of Vuelta those who miss out will be sure to rider there.

European Road Race and Schedule
Team Bardiani put on a decent show in the Continental Championships. Our initial plan for the day was to work for Enrico Battaglin, our Italian Puncher. However, he wasn't among the favourites, so we also had a joker in the pack. That joker was Sacha Modolo. The sprinter got in the day's break. Unfortunately it was caught on the final climb, and he wasn't among the best punchers.
He came in with the chasing group in 14th. For a Pro Continental sprint team we think that is pretty good, what a result!
On another note, our startlists for the next part of the season are already done! We are just waiting for the go ahead to send them in. For Tom and Fabian, the schedules are identical, but no less impressive (not to mention open for debate).
They'll start at the Scheldeprijs, where we hope to do a good sprint and maybe a podium, then they'll be off to the most important race of the season (to us anyway), the Giro d'Italia. We hope for a few stage wins there. Then their final race is in Philadelphia, another sprint classic. That's only 3 races, but 23 race days, so they'll certainly busy, and we'd appreciate them pitching in here as they wish.

Hi there,
Tom again. That sounds like one hell of a schedule, but i'm more than up for it! The Giro will be especially great; it was always my dream to be able to ride one of the GTs (well, actually to win a stage at one, but it might be a bit early to talk about that (well, actually to win the points jersey at one, but it's way to early to talk about that )), and doing it at an Italian team, leading out one of the top sprinters in the race should be a great experience. Of course the two classics aren't any less exciting, especially since i'll get to visit my US relatives en route. I don't care too much about the other races our team is going too, so i'd prefer to save up a few race days for Part 3 too.
And browsing our website, i noticed you called me an American in one of the opening posts. Would it be possible for you to change that?
Thanks, and by for now,
~Tom O'Callaghan
