STAGE 2: Lusail TTT Team Result - 5th @ '5

"Well that didn't go brilliantly. We finished fifth on the stage even though before spirits were high as we thought we would be on the day's podium at least. Even though Cancellara gave some massive turns on the front the guys just aren't at top fitness yet. To back this up Fabian was dropped by me and the guys in the last kilometre.

We are in a great position in GC with Nizzolo and will be riding to defend his podium for the rest of this race."

The tour de Langkawi is the place where our first objective of the season is held. Come the start it will be a momentous moment for the starters, especially for Iranian rider Alinejad. The Iranian will lead us in the sprints in his first ever race for us. Full squad:
- N Alinejad
- G Bennett
- L Didier
- B Jungles
- B King
- T Rohregger

STAGE 3: Dukhan - Al Gharafa RESULT: 60TH @ 1'37

"What a stage that was. The hardest one yet. The pace in the closing kilometres was just phenomenal.....

i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t605/Atlantius_PCM/EPIC/EPIC-Qat-3-3_zps03cc1dce.jpg

I didn't finish in the lead group but I was riding on the front of the peloton for Nizzolo earlier on in the stage. It was worth it as Nizzolo finished fourth and in the lead group. I would really like to be in the form he is in right now."

STAGE 4: Al Thakira - Madinat al Shamal RESULT: 45TH @ '0

" The penultimate stage was a carbon copy of stage 3. Cavendish wins and our best is Nizzolo in fourth. It was heartening to see the likes of Rast giving there all so Nizzolo was in the perfect position come the sprint.

Nizzolo, for sure, would have finished on the podium if it wasn't for a block from Petacchi. But that is bike racing."

STAGE 5: Camel Race Track - Al Khor RESULT 62nd @ '0

" Stage 5 was our worst stage of this tour by far with Nizzolo only managing 16th on the day. He has shown he has the potential to be a top sprinter but today he showed he has a long way to get anywhere near Cavendish's level.

Hondo is struggling in the heat which explains his lack of results. Rast has shown well but like me he is disheartened and a bit demoralised by the power of the Quickstep train which has prevented any late attacks. We have to get into top shape if we can challenge come the classics."

STAGE 6: Sealine Beach - Doha RESULT 110TH @ more than 3:00 down

" The last stage was an exciting one. After a few easy days in the middle of the peloton we worked hard for Nizzolo. A few kilometres from the finish a crash really caught everyone off guard. I just managed to avoid it but thought it useless wasting unnecessary energy in trying to get back to the front of he peloton.

Nizzolo just gets beaten by a wheel at the finish and surely enters the bracket as one of the top sprinters in the world. He finishes 4th overall and I am really impressed with him. If RadioShack keep hold of him then you know the team is in good reckoning.

This will be my last report for RadioShack. Stijn"

Hello to all Radioshack fans,

I want to thank all of you for your support. I am very glad about my opportunity to ride for this glorious team. In my debute race, I got a role as sprinter, and I decided to show myself.

However, what you see here is what I had never thought of. 2nd is just fantastic! I really can't describe how happy I am, but The Rider should get credits for this opportunity.

I also saw the team doing well in Qatar. Congratulations to Giacomo for his great results there.

Welcome many happy cycling people. Today is the new dawn for the glorius power that is Iran. After many legends such as Mizbani... we have produced another piece of uranium. His name is Naveed Alinejad.

This huge champion narrowly finished 2nd in his first ever race for RadioShack team just being beaten by one of the fastest sprinters in world. Bright things and many world championship wins come quick soon women for Alinejad.

From Iran cycling, the best world cycling in the coverage.

After a winless streak of almost two months we are glad to announce that our second win in the EPIC era comes from Fabian Cancellara after a brave solo win in the prestigious Milan - San Remo race.

After missing out on some early season goals this result really does left spirits as we near the end of Part 1.

1) F Cancellara 6hr42'03
14) G Rast @ '59
24) G Nizzolo @ '59
37) J Bakelants @ '59
64) B Hermans @ '59
73) D Hondo @ '59
74) H Roulston @ '59
75) S Devolder @ '59

Thanks to everyone for supporting Spartacus in his win. ;0

Who knows maybe he will be riding for one of your teams in EPIC season 2 (If that ever happens). I would happily trade him with Ollfardh as long as Alinejad gets almost Cavendish like stats! Wink

Shonak: Those Iranians!!! Wink

After narrowly missing out, to his arch nemesis, on the win at E3, Fabian Cancellara looks to be in top shape as he heads into Gent Wevelgem with a podium in his sights.

Gent Wevelgem may not be the perfect race for Fabian which is why we bring a strong squad to the 'classic' to make the race difficult to suit Fabian's style. Fabian achieved our 'easy goal' at E3 and now we wish him all the best as he goes a hunting for our 'hard goal' in Gent.

- Highlights from the RadioShack request presentation for Part 2.

Here are five requests for five races which we would be honoured to take part in!

i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b552/riderrider92/aaa_zps9552f996.jpg

First off the Tour of California. Having American sponsors on board this race is huge for RadioShack. If invited we will bring former winner Chris Horner. The veteran has proved in recent years that he is one of the elite stage race riders in the peloton and he would love to take the win up Mount Baldy and indeed the overall!

i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b552/riderrider92/eee_zps7c8ad0f8.jpg

This one day in Philadelphia may be one of the smallest races on the calendar for many teams, but not RadioShack, no way Jose! If invited we will bring AT LEAST one marquee name to this 'classic'!

i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b552/riderrider92/ddd_zpsa7d18faf.jpg

This prestigious race is too small to simply be 'continental', that is why we are applying to race here. In Gallopin, we have a Frenchman who will be a huge fan favourite, just image the scenes if he takes the overall!

i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b552/riderrider92/ccc_zps60b5fbfe.jpg

With heavy Luxembourg sponsorship this race is a must for our team. In Andy Schleck we have a rider with one of the best palmares still active in the peloton, can he win his home race and come back to GT challenging form?

i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b552/riderrider92/bbb_zpsab3e3f3c.jpg

The tour of Norway is not a race you may expect to see a RadioShack livery, but this year we have good reasons for entering. Our new recruit, Alinejad, has been making huge inroads for Iranian cycling and we believe the 'Persian Prince' can get his first win in pro cycling here, after unceremoniously finishing on the podium multiple times in Langkawi.

That concludes the requests presentation from RadioShack, we hope you have enjoyed the presentation. Refreshments in the form of drinks, snacks, medicinal marijuana and sandwiches will be served momentarily!!
