With the Santos Tour Down Under wrapped up, it is time for a short recap.

We came to Australia with some decent expectations. We were sure Viviani could get a podium place on the flat stages, or maybe even a win. None of that happened as Viviani turned out to be a huge disappointment with a 9th and a 10th place finish.

For the General Classification, we had our eyes on Moreno Moser, but we knew it would be a challenge to get a top 10. While he did not get into the top 10 in the end, we are very satisfied with his 14th place, while also getting a 4th place on stage 3.

Other than that, it was just one disappointment after another. In the 6 days we have been in Australia, we never had one rider go into the break of the day.

Well, he can't even win in San Luis where there are no good sprinters, so you have nothing to worry about. Pfft

Hi boss, I am thrilled to compete in Omloop with Peter aside me. I already had some really tough training with him and I think it improved me a lot as well some time which I have spent with Zdeněk Štybar. I am really looking for some great result.

Omloop het Nieuwsblad, the first classic of the season and for some the start of the cycling year. We came to Belgium with high expectations from Jakub Križan and more importantly Peter Sagan, but we were left with quite a disappointing result. Peter had an off-day and it became very clear, as seen in the picture above, that Jakub is not the best sprinter after such a hard day. We are certain our riders are very disappointed too with this result and we hope they will keep working hard to get great results in the next races.

Peter Sagan wins on Piazza del Campo!

After some races without victories, Peter Sagan claims the victory on Piazza del Campo in Siena, the finish location of the Strade Bianche.

Our goal for this race was a top 3 and the team passed it with flying colours. After controlling the race, the break of the day was caught with 28 km to go. With 17 km to race, Sagan attacked from the bunch and quickly build a lead and finished solo with a lead of 56 seconds. Moreno Moser finished 16th, 30 seconds ahead of the main peloton, while everyone else finished in the main group, 10 minutes after Peter Sagan.

We will certainly celebrate this victory and we hope more wins will follow.

Disaster between the seas

After a great win on the white roads of Toscane for Sagan, most of the team went south to San Vincenzo, Livorno for the 48th edition of Tirreno - Adriatico. The goal for this race was a stage win, which we thought would be achievable with Peter Sagan in the team. How wrong we were. Sagan continued his not so great early season form, with not even a podium finish this week. Our best stage finisher came from the break on stage 6, with Alessandro De Marchi finishing 4th.

While we are disappointed with the team, we were very happy to see our team ride a good TTT, which is very encouraging for the Giro d'Italia.
