So i played the demo some time and feeling is good, but what seems strange to me, is über sprint speed of players after receiving the ball, i hope this will be possible to tone down in the settings, it looks incredibly dull.

Must check for any career guys here. Search by potential or growth
Bakkali Although it's Viktor Fischer that will likely be my first signing to Villa.

Hmm, a little bit disappointed by the potential of the Feyenoord youngsters.
It feels like they're lower than last year, though still plenty of 80+ guys, I admit
Dutch Eredivisie is rated fairly good, potential-wise
Edit: Holy fuck, Bakkali 90 potential?! Guess that's a bit overrated...

I'm not shore how reliable it is. For instance, on FIFA 13, I saw on a website that Frederic Frans (started with 63 OVRL IIRC) had potential 69 tops. But in my carrer with Lierse, he evolved into an 79 rated defender with 96 strength. |

You can evolve past your potential with playing a lot of (big) games
Especially guys with low potential...

Yeah, I ended up with an 85 OVR Emnes who was meant to only reach 75. Not that I complained |

That's due to FIFA being sometimes random, I had many times players with low potentials become actual beats, not sure how it happens, but it does.
Also remeber players can 'outgrow' their stated potential if they have good form etc. Basically it's not limited on their potentials but results too ( which is great )
Anyway, the potentials could be estimate, but should be mostly very accurate.

Ok, winning Europa League's and finishing constantly in 2nd place helps then. |

Yeah, a must buy for this mode
Also I recommend already 'Vlad Chiriche_'. With those stats already, plus potential growth = absolute beast. As well as Okore

Burak Yilmaz is another very good player this year, if you have the money. And as an Arsenal fan, I'm glad to see that because pace has been nerfed in this game and strength has been buffed, Giroud is not completely useless but quite OP!

Hmm, I might be doing Lower League Management, starting with for example an Npower League Two team. I guess it won't go lower than that in FIfa 14?
Anyway, so, suggestions for a nice Lower League team anyone?

When I was about 7 I did a career mode with Accrington Stanely, went unbeaten until January when I lost in the League Cup final against Sheffield Utd (who were in the Premier League at that time), and then started crying and never played it again . Last year I played with Wimbledon in my player career, fun team to use - solid but needs changes. Wycombe is also a good team to use. Maybe a newly promoted one, say Oxford?

Shock suggestion for anyone.... Seattle Sounders! MLS team, and it's fucking awesome this season. Not exactly a 10+ year career option but will be amazing for 1-3 seasons. If i get the game thats where i'm going

Wait? Have they actually done stuff for the MLS? The past few years its been awful, and only a select few american teams even got to compete in the US Cup. No Canadian Cup (although due to lack of teams/odd numbers) and no Champions League. There was also no salary cap and I'd just like to say that the ratings are terrible.

WTF! Cleverley has the same potential as Will Hughes. Trust me, Hughes is a much better player than Cleverley will ever be, he dominates Championship games at fricking 18. I don't know why no Prem clubs signed him in the summer. Barca were after him 2 years ago! |

Just bought it as well as FIFA 10 or 11 was the last I had.
Wanted it for Xbox 360 but decided to take the PC version as it was 30€ instead of 60€.
Will check out Ultimate Team later today as this might be the main modus I play.
(Next to a Werder Bremen career I guess. To check how bad the Bremen players are this season after last years season) |

So I started with they Houston Dynamo (my hometown team). So far I hate the GTN. It seems we are going to be forced to micro-manage an insane amount.
I'm not far enough in to answer any of the questions about how they handled the MLS though.
