[b]Race Review:
A good start for the year with a 4th place for an unfit Richie Porte i will Take that. If he was fully fit he would have been able to catch up to Simon Gerrans and go passed him. Matthew Hayman was a real surprise 7th i always new i would attack at the top of the hill but never knew he could last to the end well done Matthew, Sutton wasn't the biggest upset in the world he just isn't the worlds best and had no expectations for today he was just in their incase the breakaway lasted.
I know there is no in game pictures but i started the stage yesterday and didn't know how to save screenshots but i know now so they will be in the rest of the time. |

After-Match Press-conference
SDB - Hello!
Press - Would you say this was a successful day in Australia.
SDB - I would say so a top 5 is very successful to say Richie Porte was unfit he would have stayed with Simon Gerrans. Matthew Hayman was a great success by finishing in-front of the peloton, and the break wouldn't work for Chris Sutton.
Press - Why was Richie unfit.
SDB - Richie is taking it easy at the moment, Due to being in two Grand tours. This is the only reason.
Press - Who would you say did the best today.
SDB - I think that Simon Clarke did well today.
Press - That is all.
SDB - Thank you.

Cycling Weekly: Are sky on top of things. 14/01/2013
Are Sky on top of things.
On a recent press conference Team Sky manager was asked if the Australian championships a successful day. Brailsford replied by saying 'I would say so a top 5 is very successful to say Richie Porte was unfit. ' The reporter asked why Richie was unfit. 'Richie is taking it easy at the moment, Due to being in two Grand tours. This is the only reason. The reporter ended the conversation and immediately went to tell the headline writers of cycling to say that Dave Brailsford looked anxious, and that Sky weren't on top of there rider's fitness.
Hello and i stand here next to Dave Brailsford. Dave what do you have to say about these speculations. ' I would say it is absolute nonsense Sky have gone over every riders schedule and training with the riders, and if you were to ask any of them, they would say there absolutely Happy.
So we spoke to a Team Sky rider and was asked to not be named in this article, and said ' that his schedule could be a lot better and isn't being tested enough.'
Worrying times For Dave Brailsford and Sky Procycling. |

Christopher Froome - You've just recapped my tour. I'm only joking. I won both of the sprint's by attacking on the small hill around the corner. |

After-Tour Press Conference
SDB - Hello! me and the boys are here
Press - How do you feel The tour went.
SDB - Couldn't have asked for anything more.
Press - How did you feel when Geraint won the two sprints on the last stage to jump to second.
SDB - Well we were all delighted for Geraint, But it weren't just him who performed Jonathan won a sixth place and a podium on a stage. Ben won three top 10's and a podium on the last place from a deep position. I would also Like to say a big Well done to Michael Matthews who won the tour, and everyone thought that a sprinter couldn't win the tour.
Press - Geraint. How do you fell you did.
GThomas - I feel like i did especially well to say i just wanted a stage. Then i went into the leaders jersey, and Tiernan-Locke was unlucky on stage 5 and had the same time on the stage. Which meant i was in-front of Jonathan. Then we all decided that i should go for the time bonus on the sprint's and did really well to get them.
Press - How do you feel your riders will do in france today.
SDB - I reckon we should get a podium place with Sir Brad or Edvald.
Press - That will be all
SDB - Now to France. |

After-Match Press Conference
All of the Boys - Hello!
Press Obviously Dave isn't here because he is in Australia with The Tour Down Under. How does it feel without him.
BWiggins - It feels a bit weird because he's an inspirational character with the team-talks, But we just have to get on with it as usual.
Press - How do you feel, about the recent speculation about sky riders are unhappy.
BWiggins - That isn't the case he's sat down with all of us asked what races we won't to be in and then sorted out the schedule and everyone was happy, Obviously except from the one rider.
Press - Everyone was saying that it was Henao and that was the real reason why he wasn't in the training camp.
DLGarcia - It isn't Sergio i was sharing a room with him and was feeling ill at the beginning of the Camp but managed to do 4 days before pulling out.
Press - How do you feel Edvald about losing out on the final sprint even though you were the best spinter there.
EBHagen - I am delighted that you said that i was the best Sprinter there but I'm just gradually coming into things and i am not looking to be winning thing for at least a month.
Press - Danny and Bradley your both staying here to compete in Etoile de Besseges how do you reckon you will do.
BWiggins - I am confident that we can win the tour.
Press - That is all
The Riders - thank You |

Team GB Squad announced for the worlds
Today Team GB manager Sir Dave Brailsford announced his two team's for the World Championships in Firenzie, Italy. Dave Brailsford said that ' He Couldn't wait for the world's and i think that Great Britain have the best chance they have ever had, Especially with the Time-Trial where we hope Sir Bradley Wiggins can win it. We asked him to Announce his squad, so he did.
Road Race:
Geraint Thomas - Leader
Mark Cavendish - Sprinter
Ben Swift - Sprinter
Jonathan Tiernan-Locke - Team Mate
Peter Kennaugh - Team Mate
Ian Stannard - Team Mate
Joshua Edmondson - Team Mate
Stephen Cummings - Team Mate
David Millar - Team Mate
Time-Trial
Bradley Wiggins
Chris Froome
Geraint Thomas
I think that Nibali will prbably win the road race being in his own country. But the Time-Trial will be between German monster Tony Martin and Tour de France winner Bradley Wiggins. |
