Well, with all those climbers, it's a good thing to have a clause that you lead in 1 GT
Also, his contract is until 2012? Sure?

He will win 1 or 2 stages and will bounce back in top 10 in third week.Yesterday he stayed too much in wind and in the flat part of the climb lost a lot of positions and then when the slope was again difficult he cannot follow the best. Also all Sky team is overtrained big time.

So, let's get this going. This is my first proper blog entry after the intro, I'm excited!
First things first, I'd like to announce that, from now on there will be posts from Sebastian on the blog too, but only in a limited amount. (He wanted it badly... )
Few words about me, at the moment I'm training here in Mallorca with Rigo and Seb. We're still far away from our first race, so we take it quite easy. Our training program doesn't really contain any hard tasks as of now, we have plenty of time for other things too. Last week were in cinema for example, this is something we don't normally do, because of tiredness. Enough about that however right now, let's see what happened in the cycling world so far.
Santos Tour Down Under was the opening race for the team, the guys did well as Swity won a stage and took the 6th in the GC, while Vasil was able to come in 5th overall. Even Dombro was active early showing his presence with a 12th place. All in all, it all seems nice so far, Vuelta a Mallorca is coming up, the debut of the season for Brad and Eddy. I'll be out there with the team, although not racing.
A few words about Seb to end this entry, he told me to write some words about his schedule. He'll ride for Team Sky mainly early in the season, Oman and Langkawi are on his menu first, then he'll race with me in Spain. Afterwards, the Giro del Trentino awaits him, followed by Romandie and the Giro! He won't race probably after that, so that's it for him.
I gotta go now, see you next time,
Sergio |

Looks very nice so far. Good layout, nice style. And if Sergio becomes too strong, you still have Sebastian to develop. I'll be following

Hey guys, Sebastian here!
I'm was at home for a few days after finishing my first pro race in Oman, and I must say it was a nice experiment for me. I was riding along Sir Brad, who is a really great rider in my opinion and it was a pleasure learning with him. He finished the race btw. 4th ahead of Joe D, who was really strong too. The race was won by Vincenzo Nibali. All in all, I'm happy with the placings I achieved there, my best was a 28th on the Green Mountain, finishing in the pack comfortably.
I'm not at home for much longer however, as you may know that I'm heading to Malaysia for the Tour de Langkawi. I'll race there with Sir Brad again, as well as Vasil Kiryienka, who is also a really experienced rider, I hope I can learn from him throughout this trip.
By the way, I suppose you already heard that I'll be partcipating in the Giro d'Italia! I'm so happy and proud that Dave gave me the chance. It'll be really great to race with Sergio in my first GT ever...
That's it for now, I guess, bye!
Sebastian
PS: Sergio will be back with another entry, just before Catalunya. |

28th on the Green Mountain isn't bad at all for Sebastian.

Hey guys, Sergio here!
This is just a short update before my first race, here in Catalunya, so don't expect me to write tons.
So, here are our main results from March, you'll see that Team Sky did really well. First, Bradley Wiggins won Tour de Langkawi with Dombro coming in 3rd! What a domination! By the way, Sebastian was there too and had a nice race, finishing in the top 20! As for the World Tour races, Paris - Nice wasn't a huge success, but we still did decent as Brad finished 7th after losing time on the hills. Tirreno - Adriatico went well too, Eddy had two stage-wins, and Froomey was able to podium, as he got 2nd. Only Nibali could beat him. MSR is the freshest race of all, one of the main goals of the team for the whole season. How did we do? EBH won it! He rode away on the Poggio, nobody could catch him, that's his biggest result so far. So yeah, that was it up until now.
A few words about myself and the race, to wrap up this post. Training went well, no injuries so far, only got some viruses in February, but nothing too worrying. Rigo and I will probably ride as free elements throughout the whole race. No expectations or objectives, just getting some kilometers in those legs to get into shape.
See you soon,
Sergio |
