like you i signed 5 new riders and a trainer.
5 riders are Juan Gomis Lopez, Jeremy Maartens, Tiaan Kannemayer, Johnothan Bridge and Charles Dionne.
currently riding the GP de Bessages. Have sent my 6 strongest riders and a couple of others to simply give them some race time before the GP Med and the Cali Road. How come you two biggest season goals fall in the first month of racing, and why have the sponsors chosen two races that overlap so you can't send your strongest team? it doesn't make any sense!!!
anyway, let me knoe hoe you get on. |

Thats why you should get PCM Spain,
Its stupid that a British/Belgian team would want to do well in those races. (I'm presuming youre still with DFL Cyclingnews/LDF Velingnews)

Yes still with DFL. Just got 2nd in the 4th Stage of Tour of Australia putting J. Bridge into 2nd on GC.
I do agree that as my 2 3 star goals of the season to be in February its pretty dumb. I must acheive top climber in GP Med and a top 10 placing in Tour of California. I have had to split my best riders. J Bridge is coming up to frm now so shall try and hold on to that for march.
I will go so far with tis and then convert to PCM Spain DB I think |

On the training note, just how much difference does it make when you select each rider with different types of training (Sprinter, Climber etc) to his attributes. How come with some riders giving them an International trainer gives them a bonus and other riders dont get one?
Im not sure what you are asking in the first half of that, but the second bit can refer to either of 2 events. Either way the riders you've attached the trainer to will be fairly old. Over 25 years. With the usual trainers you get given when you start out, (national level probably) they rarely give the riders over 25 years old any bonus as they are training too many riders, and they are rubbish! But when you attach to the older riders an international trainer, the bonus appears as:
1) the cyclist is being trained by an "excellent" trainer in effectiveness. Keep attaching all your riders to that trainer and the effectiveness will go down. a lot.
2) as the rider is old, they need better trainers to get even a small bonus, and as such will never reach the bonus levels a young rider will get (i have got to 165% bonus on taylor phinney in the spain DB with a mythical trainer)
Hopefully my garbling has meant something...

You won't find any J. Bridge in PCM Spain, though |

Yeah, well, there's lots of other (real) talents in the PCM Spain DB, so don't worry about that |

There are a lot of (free) riders 10 times better than Bridge is, I don't think you'll miss him

i started again as well. the computer i was playing on was running a bit slow and the longer races kept slowing right down so i've moved it onto our 'big' computer
started again as liquigas. it has crashed once but overall it's alot smoother. |

Thats why you allways want to make backups while playing pcm as it happens regularly |

Spent half of last night trying to get it to run on my laptop, it just wouldn't run, finally discovered I had set an unavailable screen res and that has it sorted. A lot lower graphics so not so visually pleasing but at least I will be able to get on with a new PCM Spain career.
started again as liquigas
Let us know how you get on with Liquigas

How exactly do you back up? The only way Ive found so far is wehn you quit the game and it saves for you. |

All PCM-careers autosave every day, but when the game crashes the save game might end up getting corrupted, and thereby make it unplayable. Therefore, it's still good to make a backup once in a while. |

You back up by going to your savegame in your game's root folder, and copying and pasting it somewhere |

Savegame backup ProTip: Dont make several copies and put them all over your PCM folders. You will only confuse yourself like i did

I made 2 folders in my documents. called pcmbackup1 and pcmbackup2. I past the game in the first one after I played. When I play next time, I put it in number 2. Then I overwrite in 1 again and so on. This way you allways have 2 backups |

another quick question. can you change teams at any point throughout your career? and if so how does this happen? |
