At least we finally managed to get into a breakaway, shame Mundle couldn't then hold onto the tail of the leading group but that did split up far more then we were expecting.
I'm really surprised that Jiriakov's climbing ability was totally overlooked and that he wasn't in the front group as I'd have thought he would be considering his other performances this year.

What the hell Feillu? You are a better climber than most of them in that lead group so should have been able to hold on. Now this is just another disappointing race where we lose ground to most of the promotion contenders.
Thanks for the reports tsmoha.

I suppose the last stage was where the flat stat mattered the most, more than any other stat.
And as it does not make sense to congratulate to inactive manager, congrats to all other succesful managers and to Tsmoha for nice reports!

Realised while catching up with this race that my team was participating. I really don't know how I managed to miss that when looking at the preview earlier
Anyway, that was very good. I'm extremely satisfied with two in the top 10, considering it's a race that doesn't suit my squad at all. The breakaway strategy seems to have worked perfectly.
Great job with the reports, and sorry for not stopping by during the race.

That was a quick, but exciting read!
Good race for us, solid performance by our three-headed beast, with great placements throughout. Docker proving he's the most versatile of our trio once again tho'.

Nice Schelling! Cracked the Top 10 and took the best young rider jersey. Really pumped to get him back next year! Thank you for taking him Pellizotti, I'm really enjoying watching him this year.

Pretty disappointing race here...had expected and hoped for much more.
Quite weird to see such a big difference between my experience of that race where small groups without most sprinters ended on at least 2 stages and the MG version here with the pure sprinters being strong.
Bellis definitely could have done more. He even lost contact to weaker sprinters due to his positioning.
Thanks for the reports. Were great to read. |
