There is a decent startlist here, but Enger is the main favourite. 3M’s Wippert should provide some good competition, and so should most of the other sprinters – their abilities are so closely matched. Attacks could prove prominent as well with no big favourites to look at their team to set the pace, so any attack needs to be watched closely by the peloton.
As we roll out of the start, it is grey and overcast. There are also strong crosswinds so there could be some splits if the pace is high. Straight away a group of five riders attack and form the breakaway. We move to the front and do some pacemaking, to keep the gap in check.
The gap is eventually closed, thanks to some great work by Us, 3M and Differdange. With around 10kms to go Gardeyn of Dolcetini – Flanders tries a move while the sprint trains are being formed. Enger is sitting on Wippert’s wheel for the moment.
Gardeyn prolongs his lead and holds it. As the peloton turns into the 1km long final straight, it looks as if the Belgian attacker is assured of victory. Enger is well placed in about tenth as he starts his sprint.
After a great attacking ride, Gardeyn wins the Dorpenoomlop Ruchpen! The Belgian takes a good win thanks to attacking at the right time.
Behind, Enger manages to sprint to fifth behind Wippert, Reinders and Terpstra, after a good sprint through the final kilometer.
That’s a decent result in his and our first race of the season, something to build on for sure. A top 3 or even the win would have been better but with everyone so close we’ll settle with fifth.
Im so happy you made a story with Plussbank Hope you keep writing on this story for a looonng time. So far,so good.
But i noticed one thing, the stats F.Røinås has is very wrong. He is the same type as Enger. Not as good as him thought.
Can you be so kind and upload this DB? I would love to play with it. I don't even know where to find det original DB you used, but i noticed that Tour de Fjords and Artic Race of Norway was there
And btw, S.Lunke is a good friend of mine. We were class mates last year, cycled a lot together. Nice stats on him, he is a future climber, no doubt. His sprint is not so good thought, more like 55-57. Acc good placed.
EDIT: I would apriciate a link to the original DB as well.
Noticed Landa from Østerhus did well also. Finally someone has placed his stats as they should be. I cant wait to play with this BD

Hi, great to here that and hope you'll keep on following
Look through there and you will find the download links (Page 6 I think). My .cdb is edited so the stats are different from the one that comes with the FCD, I can PM that to you if you like
Thanks for the stat suggestions, I will update F.Røinås' now. Also cool that you know Lunke
The startlist here isn’t big, but it contains some riders that should trouble ours. Our team brings Enger, who should be able to do well on all stages except the TT. Aasvold should cover that, although he may struggle with very low fitness. Holm must also be watched as he can climb well and will be given free rein to attack.
As for riders to look out for, riders like Kovac and Jurca should contest the GC with our riders, Victor de la Parte should be watched on the climbs and for the final flat stage Wippert should provide stiff competition for Enger. There are plenty more B-Class riders who could surprise as well.
The first stage here is a TT, and as mentioned our riders don’t really have the ability/fitness to contest this stage. We’ll try to limit our losses and see where that gets us.
Golovash of Ukranian team Kolss rode a good TT today, which turned out to be the winning time over this short course. He will wear the leader’s jersey tomorrow.
Our best time was set by Aasvold, who despite being massively out of fitness finished 5 seconds down on the lead in 28th. Enger and Holm also both rode good TT’s, each finishing 7 seconds back, so a good GC for them is not ruined either.
Not the best day for the team, but as we are still building fitness this had to be expected. Better days should come here in Croatia during the forthcoming three stages.

Stage 2 is hilly, and gives our guys a chance of success. Enger will lead our team, protected by Hoem and will try to attack up the final hill. As the racing gets underway, we decide to send Lunke into the break in pursuit of Mountain points.
He takes the Mountain sprint comfortably ahead of his breakaway companions. The group has 3’50 with 75kms to go, so it seems unlikely they can stay away from the peloton whose pace is being dictated by Kolss.
That group gets pulled back with 30kms left, and the pace slows. Wippert and Krivtsov then try their luck and launch an opportunistic attack.
Upon hitting the final climb, they still have a gap of 30”. Enger decides as planned to jump out of the peloton in pursuit. He immediately establishes a solid gap.
With just 2000m left the catch has been made. Enger is pushing hard on the front, trying to shake the other two attackers while the peloton approaches at speed from behind.
Under the flammage rouge he has created a gap, but Van Dijk and Nino Corredor are coming from behind with a fast sprint. Can he take the victory?
He can! Enger just holds off Van Dijk, and takes his and our first win of the season after a stellar ride. He finishes in a front group of 17, 47” ahead of a much larger group.
He also takes the Race Lead thanks to the bonus seconds on offer at the finish, along with the Mountain jersey and the White jersey. After great day for the team overall, tomorrow we will look to protect the jerseys.
Interesting, the finish line image looks as if the entire peloton finished at the same time.

Big thanks to jdog for making this AMAZING userbar!
Interesting, the finish line image looks as if the entire peloton finished at the same time.
Thanks
The climb was pretty steep, so a small gap on the road could be a big time one. I think that pic is just showing the first group though.
-------
Just a sidenote, this may not have an update for a while. I leave for 10 days on Thursday, and in the meantime I have to finish some stuff that has to take priority over this. There may be one or two more updates if I find time.
Today is Stage 3, and our sole objective is defending Enger’s lead in the race. He won stage 2 yesterday and on a similar parcours a repeat could be in store. Our tactical awareness will have to be top quality however with many other contenders just seconds behind.
A break of five riders is let go, but it holds a couple of riders under a minute down on Enger in the overall. We decide to send the team to the front to dictate the pace and keep the gap in check.
They are eventually pulled back with around 15kms to go. The pace is kept high by Tableware until the bottom of the final 4km climb, where Springer of Team Voralberg jumps out of the peloton with surprising speed. Enger decides this looks dangerous and sets off in pursuit with 3M’s Terpstra on his wheel.
As Springer goes under 1km to go the sprint starts. Terpstra has ridden up to Springer while Enger is just in front of the peloton, sustaining energy for the last few meters.
There is just 500m to go for Springer, who has dropped Terpstra. Enger is moving into third, behind Tableware’s Spanish leader De La Parte Gonzalez who is sprinting very fast up to Springer, who is struggling to hold on.
De La Parte Gonzalez takes the stage just in front of Springer. Given he is just 6th in the GC he could well take the leaders jersey tonight from us.
Enger just about holds onto third, but there is a worryingly large gap between the front two and him.
In the end the Judges give a gap of 17”, meaning that Enger loses his leader’s jersey by 18” to De La Parte Gonzalez. It looks likely that he will have to settle for second overall.

Stage 4 is the last day of the tour and it is a flat one, and barring a miracle Enger won’t be able to overhaul the GC leader De La Parte Gonzalez. All we hope for today is a decent finish to round off a good tour for us.
We put Roinas in the breakaway in case it is let go, but it doesn’t look promising for them as Tableware keep them in well in range. It looks like the race is heading for a bunch sprint.
With 5kms left, everything has been brought back. Enger (in green) has picked the wheel of Wippert, who has been very strong in this race so far. The 3M train is a bit far back, however.
Under the flammage rouge Enger is in about tenth, but is coming through. Agarkov is in the lead, while Wippert looks to be coming fast on the left.
Wippert takes the stage, weaving through the gaps to take a well-earned victory. Kovac takes second for Dukla, while Enger can manage fifth in the end, which rounds out a decent race for the team.
It isn’t finished yet though. Behind the first 12 riders, there seems to be a split, and the race leader De La Parte Gonzalez is caught behind it! Could this be a gift?
Sadly it isn’t, as everyone gets awarded the same time meaning that De La Parte Gonzalez takes the race. Also Enger just got squeezed out of the points jersey by Kovac, but he holds on to second overall, the mountains jersey and the white jersey, which is great from just one rider. We are very happy overall about results here and take a great deal of confidence to Portugal for our next race, the Volta ao Alentejo.
Young Norweigan super-talent Sondre Holst Enger has extended his contract with his current team, through 2016. The rider expressed his intent to stay with his current team, and help them improve over the coming few years.
"I'm delighted that I have the chance to extended my contract," Enger said outside his team bus after the recent Istarsko Proljece, where he finished second overall. "Plussbank have made huge sacrifices to help me develop and I would like to repay that. The team has expressed their will to expand and grow over the next few years and I want to play a part in that, being it big or small."
The team also renewed the contracts of Bjorn Tore Hoem and Petter Schmidt through 2016, and Andreas Erland renewed his contract until the end of 2015.
The team manager of Plussbank appeared to be very happy at a press conference held in Norway as he gave the news.
"I always said Sondre was a great talent, but I was never sure he would express it fully with this team," He said. "As a professional cyclist you can always look for other options but he has appeared, as had the other riders renewing, to have total faith with us. I hope he and the others can have a great future with the team, as we try and climb up to the top ranks of the sport."
"I think we have had a really good start to the year and now we want to push on to go to an even better level. We are very ambitious as a team and want to grow and become a force in world cycling and with Sondre that all seems possible."

I thought for a second that it was real.
Then I realized that I clicked on your story. Good news for the team
I did use a CN article as a template, so that's probably why
Good news indeed, but he won't become as good as I would have hoped looking at how he is forecast to develop. Still he should be a great rider to have around while we are at this level.
