hello everybody !
started another career with this awesome DB lately and really EVERYTHING workes fine till I reach year 2007 (in fact 1997, im playing with the start-year 2007-version). I can't play the tour de France :-( everytime I click on it in calendar tab the game crashes. I just wanted to ask whether there is a solution for that.  |

I think, first of all you need to check .xml file of this stage - does in work or not. |

hey thx for your answer! but how can I check the xml files? open them in editor? or try to play every single stage? .. and how do I know which stage is used by the tour? e.g.
v1_france_grand_tour_stage1, v2.. ,96_france_grand_tour_stage1
I dont know which one is used by the tour. Thx for answers !! |

After the crash, try copy/pasting the last 20-30 lines of your Pro Cycling Manager.log file located in My Documents/Pro Cycling Manager here. |

Okay, go to CM_Stages in Program Files/Cyanide/Pro Cycling Manager and check if there's a v8_top_france_grandtour_97_stage_00.xml there. |

actually no, there isnt any.. quick solution is to take the 96 stage files and rename them in v8_top_france_grandtour_97_stage_00.xml

v8_top_france_grandtour_97_stage_21.xml I presume.

... and it works ! 
at least it doesnt crash anymore when clicking either on the tour de france on the calendar tab or on single stages.
now my next question: are there any original 1997 Tour de France stages available for download ?

I don't think there's any 1997 TdF. However, I just downloaded the file, and it includes a TdF from 99, 2003, 2004 and 2005. |

yea, replaced some stage files with others from different grandtours so that the profiles match correctly. not perfect solution, but it works ! awesome  |

hey there
it's been a while I've been paying this DB with no problem but here's another one ;P
In Season 1 all the big guns like Indurain, Leblanc, Zülle.. participated in the Tour de France, but in Season 2 and now in Season 3 there aren't really big names in the starter field which makes it quite easy to own the whole race in every classification which is absolutely no fun at all
It's kinda weird cause in the Tour de Suisse I raced riders like Virenque, Tonkov and Leblanc and now in Tour de France really no competition. It seems there is a problem with the importance of the race in the DB.
Anyone has got a clue?
