What rider? A team is made out of several riders...
Once again:

Thanks for all the comments, guys! Some guesses for the line up of my team are correct, but as I excepted nobody would think about Meisen.
Btw, this won't be a 100% German team, I also reserved few spots for talented foreign riders. Btw, I'm aiming at very young guys with plenty possibilities to grow. So if you want to do some more guesses...
Please read first

Forget... I am quite tired and that's pretty much noticable now. I thought he is going to use 1 rider, although i read intro multiple times.

Surprising leader, but sounds good
And editing a bit isn't a bad thing, especially if it's justified, just as long as you don't over-do it
Oh, right, some more talents guesses:
Kelderman(probably too good, but please )
Enger, Groenewegen, Van Baarle, Olivier, Slik, Van der Lijke, Craddock, Brown, Mannion, Silvestre, Wippert, Stuyven ?

Great to see all the guesses for my foreign guys. Not a single one of them is named by you guys though
Btw, a guy like Kelderman is waaaay too strong for a tiny team like this one
In some hours, the rest of Team ABUS will be presented! Maybe an interesting fact: all riders are younger then 25, most are younger then 23 and three of them were still a junior in 2012.

3/1/2013 Team presentation (2): Our young aces
New in the scene, Team ABUS is proud to present you one of the biggest talents Germany has in store: Silvio Herklotz. Not the new Tony Martin or Marcel Kittel in town, since Silvio is neither time trial specialist nor a sprint wonder. Our talent is a pure all rounder, shining with his regularity. Silvio just made the step from junior level to u23, but he’s already aiming high. Biggest goal this year is the Bayern Rundfahrt.
Fasten your seatbelts for our second young ace: Aussie Caleb Ewan is the next big thing in sprinting – at least, our scouts think so. Raised on the track, Caleb shows a big acceleration which made him win some professional criteriums – as a a junior rider! Being only 18 years old, 2013 will be a learning process for Caleb, with planned peaks in Normandie, Olympia’s Tour, Mayenne, Czech Cycling Tour and Limousin.
And yes, we have another non-German rider in our leader board: Fredrik Ludvigsson from Sweden. The younger brother of Argos professional Tobias, and strong in the same field: going fast in time trials and hilly races. Like Silvio and Caleb, Fredrik is a newbie born in 1994, and aiming for smaller stage races with some hilly terrain and time trials in them.
We have an all rounder, we have a sprinter, we have a time trial guy. Where are the climbers in Team ABUS? Here you have them: Robin Eckmann and Kajetan Fricke get smiles on their faces as soon as the road starts going up. Gifted with a nice dose of acceleration and some experience, Robin and Kajetan hope to shine in the mountainous stage races in summer, like the tours of Slovenia, Aosta, Alsace, the Pyrenees and the Ain.
Next episode: 4/1/2013 Team presentation (3): And then there is…
Spoiler As you can see, I decided to only recrute riders without a team in the PCM Daily Real Name DB Sutterlin, Zepuntke and obviously Zabel were on my wishlist, Julian Kern and Bjorn Thurau get added to that one now...

Ewan!!!
But a bit strange in a German team, isn't it?
Also, I'm sure Cio will be happy with Herklotz.

Well not entirely. Real life Thüringer Energie Team got two of those low hanging fruits from the South Pacific on the team this year.
But good luck sisse. Always nice with a story that takes place somewhere else than the WorldTour or in the mind of a single rider

Which was exactly my motivation to 'allow myself' to add Ewan (and another yet to be presented Aussie) to the team
Thanks for all the comments guys!

Can I ask just 1 question? You said it's your first PCM career (2nd post), but you've been here since 2007, how's that possible? |

I meant my first story
Have been playing PCM since the very beginning, when I was still a little kid. But mostly didn't enjoy the gameplay enough to start a long career, only did that for PCM06 (where I did a similar career, building the tiny Boyaca-team into a Colombian-Italian WorldTour-squad, but never wrote a story about) and for this PCM2013, which for me are by far the best games in the series. So in fact it even is my first career in seven years

4/1/2013 Team presentation (3): And then there is…
Of course it’s not only about leaders in a team. Next to the six highlighted guys, Team ABUS will line up twelve more youngsters who all deserve their spot. Guys who are not afraid of losing sweat in support of the team leaders, but also eager to hunt their own chance whenever they’re offered that opportunity.
Australian hard rider Damien Howson for example, a time trial expert who was third at last year’s world championship TT u23 and who will also be part of his countryman Caleb Ewan’s sprint train. The two other foreign – but German speaking – guys in the squad both are also younger than 23: Patrick Konrad lives in Austria, Jan Keller is from Switzerland. While Patrick loves climbing, Jan hurts his teammates on flat roads.
And then there are nine more Germans. David Hesselbarth and Jakob Steigmiller are no longer under 23 and both allrounders that will try to score some more UCI points for Team ABUS. Frank Wagner feels home on cobble stones, Bastian Bürgel came in as support for our climbers and David Bartl should be a useful helper for our sprint weapons. Kevin Predatsch, Brian Takacs, Kersten Thiele and Maximilian Werda are the remaining riders: all very young and ambitious to grow in the future.
Spoiler Note: all riders in the team are real riders being present in the PCM Daily DB.

4/1/2013 Body tests: the results
Team ABUS wants to develop our young aces in a scientific but 100 percent clean environment. Last week, all of our riders have passed in a sports lab for thorough body testing. Since we’re aiming for a 100 percent open communication to persuade the remaining doubters in Germany, we will even share all test results with you on a regular base. Here you go, the file where all strengths and weaknesses of our riders are revealed (click on it to open):

Uff... Seems like a monster task to do very well in your first season... But if they all develop nicely, you might get a solid pro-conti squad out of the riders you have there in a few seasons...
(Are you playing with random potential? Would give the story a nice twist Plus, what kind of development speed are you using?)
