I really liked all the Grand Tours so far, hope this one will be another great one! In the end it'll most likely to come down to Madrazo vs Cunego, I believe this will be Madrazo's time to shine however. Good luck to all participants! |

That's seriously a fantastic preview Count.
My hopes are quite big for this race. TTT will be crucial for my team, I really hope my team could be strong enough to win it and take the yellow jersey for couple of days. As there are two flat time trials, my hopes are high for two stage wins for Coppel. And even there is a big competiton, I hope to accomplish my season goal which is a top 10 place with Henao Montoya and maybe try to win a stage in a similar way he won a one in Giro this season. I have some hopes about Kulhavy getting into breakaways and potentially be a player for mountains jersey as well.
For the overall win I will cheer for Vesuvio's Andy Schleck as he has as two important helpers my two former riders De Gendt and Porte. I can't wait for the start!

Holy Crap! My team isn't participating, but that is one hell of a preview. Absolutely great read and must have taken a while to write down too!
Madrazo or Cunego for me, but I think Schleck might be an outsider.

Should be a grand battle between Schleck, Pluchkin, Cunego, and Madrazo, but wouldn't count out Amador for a podium.
Personally, Wikipedia will be looking for good stage results from breakaways and Goss. Hoping Pinot in particular will be active in the mountains, as he could be capable of polka dots if he targets those points.

Not an ideal start.
Now for the fearful flat stages

What an honor to kick off the Tour de France as the first team out of the gate. And we will gladly take the better then expected time because of the wind. Lol at Wiggins getting the first yellow jersey.
And Count you produce the best time trial reports, I wish I had the patience to sit down and write that much for one report. Thank You!

Finally the Tour goes and what a big report great stage report by Count! That shows me everytime why I can't write those reports as thats magnificent.
Stage:
Our team time trial was "extraordinnaire!".
Good that we had some luck to put 20 seconds on Madrazo but Pluchkin gave us 10 seconds. And as Pluchkin is a much better time trialist than Cunego that will be something to chew on until the first mountain stage.

Didn't expect to finish last in the TTT, but it doesn't matter, we are just here to grab whatever we can grab. It feels pretty good not to have any GC riders actually. Hopefully it will mean that Chris Anker can attack in the harder terrain.
Awesome report btw - It's not easy to make such a stage an interesting read, but you sure managed to do just that. Well done!

Who would've thought that Wiggins could get the yellow jersey? Well, sadly there's no way he could ever win a Tour...
Great stage, so happy with that and could keep the jersey for a few stages. Wonderful. |

Great report! And huge congratulations to wackojackohighcliffe! I really like seeing his team succeed.
It's also good to see us behind Simply Red Bull, that means no excuses for not being in the breakaway
Seriously though, that was just as expected from us. Hopefully Impey/Vanoverschelde can fight for top five placings on the coming stages, if they get it right and don't destroy each other's chances that is. |

Wow, that Pokerstars team is the line-up surprise of the season for me...not trying to sound arrogant, but Dumoulin and Dupont is probably their weakest sprint train all season long?
Plus the fact that I 100% expected Boonen and/or Swift to be here,..
So without checking the db, I think our sprint train is the best by far.
7 sprint finishes are possible, let's give one to a break and take 50% of the rest to satisfy me.
With the best sprint train in the field, Mohs didn´t show almost anything during Giro. Maybe he could prove his worth without team support in sprints here? We´ll see what happens.
Fantastic preview, btw.

Nice start here for Pluchkin gaining time on all the other favourites, if he gets decently through the hills there is a very good chance he can take yellow by the end of the first week. That would in that case be my first TdF yellow jersey! Fingers crossed

"Fell in love" with your team when reporting Siutsou and Dauphiné last season.
That was just thrilling and amazing to play through.

Great win for Pendleton's, should be a massive boon to their overall rankings.
No concerns with the TTT for us, hope they are active and try to nab the KOM jersey early on.
