Santos Tour Down Under - Stage 2

Todays Route: Should be the first chance to see the GC men in action, its not a particularly difficult stage but should see a few gaps.

Rast, Quinziato and Van Keirsbulck tried breaking away early on but were bought back by Feillu's Vaconsolei team.




50 kms to go and Voigt on the attack with Meyer, Pietropolli and Pate.

Boeckmans is stringing it out the gap is 1'38" with 30 kms to go.

We start the climb and Spilak is being protected by Chernetskiy, Trofimov is struggling to move up the bunch 38 seconds the gap to group Voigt. Cam Meyer fell so just 3 infront now.

Spilak attacks as we reach the top of the climb, Clark and Nordhaug respond. I took a screen but its not saved guys.

A great win by Simon today he was really strong, now we have to defend the Ochre jersey.Pfft




That was a nightmare, I have written it aswell as possible guys I had most of the screens up and pressed back and I lost all the writing so had to redo it.

Spilak showing good early form. Should be able to hold the jersey for a couple of days at least.
