Wasn't President's Cup the one where the States Play the non-europeans?

Is this trolling.
Just scanned this thread - what a total embarrassment. Loving the use of the term 'rich' as a short hand for bad amongst dull little bigots who know nothing about golf, or economics it seems. |

No. At the moment the Internationals are leading no matches.

Either way, I don't know much about golf, I read an article about the finances about it and that just disgusted me. It was about a Belgian golfer (Colsaert something) finally having enough money to enter some kind of big league?
At least your first sentence is correct.
So to summarise, you read an article and completely misunderstood it.
Ranking systems in most golf tours are based on amount of prize money earned. So when you read that he didn't have enough money, it's because he was not good enough at golf (at the time) - not some bizzare plutocratic rule which your prejudice made you oh so eager to believe. |

You don't seem to have grasped that there is no one European in this pointless biennial gap fill designed to speed the wait for your next Ryder Cup loss.

Hey, I was never talking about the Ryder Cup to begin with, and whether or not the Internationals brought a strong team is irrelevant to the match, an event is an event.

You're being odd now. Seriously. Europe are not involved in this tournament at all. So they're not being pwned. Get it yet?
After that, bragging about beating a team that is much much weaker is pretty pathetic. When it actually matters most of the USA players are chokers in matchplay. |

Sorry. My bad. On the first post on this page I meant to type "International" instead of Europe.
I wasn't really bragging, tbh, I just tuned in to watch golf, that's it, as evidenced by ""

Joost Luijten ftw
also, if I want to play golf *membership at the most locally known club, it would cost me 2500€ a year. Which is insane
Even playing just once is not easy, because you have to get some sort of license first which costs time and money too.
Luckily for me, there is a short play golf course right around the corner which costs only €13,50 a round, and €100 for ten times a year. So now me and my friends play a lot of golf there... it's not the same as real golf, but it's the closest thing. Holes of 40 to 85 meters, a pitching wedge, a putter and a sand wegde... and a lot of fun
I wish real golf was more accessible. Because really in the Netherlands, it's not

Yes, I really do feel sorry for people in Europe, golf is EXPENSIVE east of the prime meridian...
They've really made golf a common man's sport here in the US, not expensive at all.

So USA won, especially Saturday was theirs. One have to admire Jordan Spieth, what a rookie season that was, i wonder if he will become one of the dominators, or will be weaker in his second year.
This was a good year for PGA. Not much of a fan of Stenson winning at Atlanta, but the year was nice.
Spieth, Woods (surprise, surprise) and Stenson probably players of the year from my point of view.

Nah, Garcia's destined for the US Open this year-it's at the restored Pinehurst No.2.
Tiger will bounce back, and has a chance at the Open. It's quite good living in Blighty, because I get to go to the Open every year - watching Tiger live is one of the strangest experiences ever.

Nice call on Spieth, now time to observe the 95% chance of crumbling under pressure.

Don't follow golf much just Masters mostly and Rider Cup, nice win by Bubba Good call with Spieth Avin. Jimenez, what a boss
Anyway, 50th place at masters has greater monetary reward than winning Roubaix...

Not sure how you mean it mate. 2014 form Tiger would hardly do something with the rankings and picture of having like only ten people under par is usual for Augusta.
Thanks for the Spieth call kuddos, i relly like this chap's golf, i think he can become dominator, he is freshly 20 and his irons are killing it! Of course his knees went to shake mode when he was leading Masters.
I enjoyed the weekend with best golf you can see, chapeau to Bubba, his massive drives (366 yards on 13th really??) combined with nice short game got him the deserved win after one year break, course suits him well.
