4th is great, even if we had this as a winning goal... |

Was hoping for Iglinski to stay in the peloton. So it was a 0 pointer for me, even though it was one of those races, I had not expected many points from.
So let`s go on with the other races. |

Nice to see a split on such a race! I suspect Prio Porto will be very disspointed as Ventoso should have been in the first group.
And Hoffman is not impossible to beat
You got that right. Ventoso has got some explaining to do...
Looking on the bright side though, if he continues these sort of mediocre results his wage for next season can't be more than a domestique's.
Congrats to Tinkoff, it seems they really have that extra bit of luck they need to promote this year.

I presume youve given Ventoso some races where he will be your sole leader? Have to wonder if he is held back whenever you include Avelino in one of his races.

This race was always going be too hilly for Napo. There's still other chances for him at least :L

Hoffman is one HIL stat better, yet wasn't dropped. Sonnery was dropped as well, and then everyone gave up on chasing. |

Positioning, not hill stat is what matters most in those splits. Pure luck.

Yep might have been the case here. I'm only giving him sole leadership in a handful of races, should have seen this coming in the race-planning phase. Although from here on in he'll be taking part in mostly hilly races and partnering with Mendes instead of flat ones iirc. Maybe that will work better.

Well 6-8-11 is fantastic. I knew that this would happen all along Congratulations to Tinkoff.
I'm happy to see Vansummeren actually earning his inflated wage this season.

I dont believe it, Hoffman always stays there, i think it is hidden in flat stat too, where he is one of the best. He was never left behind, i many race during the season, that is hardly a luck (bif flat stat is good for positioning and more important than luck imo). I also still think stamina plays the role too under 200kms and yes i know all the people are saying otherwise.
Very good 5th for Hoffman, given the fact he was the only sprinter that hold on. He keeps on adding points and that is what matters. Last season bust Grychenko found some life in him and got great 13th, some more points, nice.

Matti Breschel shows his versitility again finishing 2nd over a surprisingly difficult and selective course. Yannick Stoltz and Jake Keough also earn points.
The race reporter was right on the money when he speculated we might have won is Keough could have survived that one last hill.
We are very pleased with 2nd, 14th and 22nd -- 67 points a pretty good day.

Sigh. Apparently, I should have left Kennaugh home for this race and let Reimer be the sole captain. Not having a single rider in the lead group is just ... bad. |

Sorry for quoting now. Positioning was key. Dall'Antonia has a higher hill stat and was dropped. |

Yeah i know, i was talking about possibility of flat stat having an impact on positioning (plus stamina having effect also in stages under 200kms) . As Hoffman was never dropped whole season, apart from really toughest stages, while other with better hill stat were. So i think half of the season with outcome like these does not seems like luck. But who knows with pcm12, it all looks random sometimes.
