That is a hell of a way to lose a rider and puts a big halt in SRAM's recent charge is May going to be a bad one following their excellent April.
This being C1 this is a nice bunch of points for Cadburys, fingers crossed for a good race for them. Torckler could even break a podium here.
Vanspreybrouck is looking hungry.

Well Vanspeybrouck in good form but a major fuck up of a train there. I sent Stallaert here to act as a lead-out for Drujon and I see that he just didn't help with that at all. I think I would have gone much better with him in line. Sigh.
Commiserations for Sram. Losing a leader to a crash like that must suck.

Personally, I think it was a great lead out train - just for the wrong guy

Ouch, feel sorry for SRAM, this is some bad luck indeed. Nice win for Docker, but 4th stage will be the decisive point of the race, should be great spectacle later.

Bad crash. Too bad PCM isn't like real life or the gap wouldn't have been awarded I guess.

The crash was with 300-400m to go. So really unlucky yes... |

Docker did surprisingly well on that stage. A decent performance tomorrow, and on the final stage, and the points jersey could well come home.
The hill near the finish tomorrow looks a bit concerning, though.

G certainly looks up for the race at this early stage. Really don't mind him going for those IS's as long as he doesn't get dropped afterwards. Also a great day out for Stefan doing a perfect job for the sponsors, and grabbing a jersey in the process.

Eichler is doing a good job as a Haussler-replacement, a Top10 is possible and would save the race for me.

Huzzah, that really, really helps me and gives me confidence for Vanspeybrouck defending his overall win.

Eisel after a very good day of picking up spint points, get caught in a late crash and looses over 2 minutes. a race that we expected good results now is a battle for every point just to survive.
Loosing time on a crash within the final 3K should not happen. The PCM Gods are not favoring AMEX today.

Another good sprint by Docker - maybe should have won it, but more steady points for the sprint jersey. Race leaders jersey will of course be gone tomorrow, though.

Rocking the breaks at the moment, great day out for Sparling who is having a good season. Nice to see Hristov's solo day keeps him ahead of Bush for now. G still being active is good, and still well in contention with the cobbles looming.
Great work by Clarke for the sprint as well! Monster turn on the front making it easy in the end

Well this could, like last year, be my top scoring race all season. Drujon's first stage win this season is also great given how many sprint classics we have coming up with him as leader.

When the train that Sieberg sat on pulled in front I thought he could win... Then just to see he had decided not to follow it... Idiot :-p

Lot's of sponsor pleasing TV time but no GC results. Robert Bush in the break 2 out of 3 days picking up Sprint and KOM points. Bernhard Eisel showing he is still on good form but his lost time crash on stage 2 killed his chances for GC contention. Hopefully the cobble will allow him to crawl back into the top 20.
I would love to see Bart Veyt jump into one of the breakaways.

I was pretty happy that the result looks fine in the end and gaps were rewarded.
I was pretty frustrating while playing as it doesn`t looked like this all the time.
Great GC domination by Bpost and HTC in the top15. Should be nice points for both teams, just like Boeing, who are impressive here.
And who is that David guy??? He was most impressive on this stage. In general some surprising riders there.
Last stage should be up tomorrow. Not sure at what time as I have university all over the day. |
