Tour de San Luis – Stage 1
Stage preview
The first stage of the Tour de San Luis was the first race of our team! We were very excited to start the race. At the start there were immediately riders attacking. Rogers of our team attacked too.
But the peloton didn’t let eighteen man escape, so they chased the breakaway and get them back. After that, several riders attacked again. We sent Rogers with them, again.
And that’s how a breakaway with four man appears. Rogers tried to get the mountain points, but he failed. He got second, which is too bad for us. The breakaway got five minutes, but the peloton didn’t want to gave them the opportunity to win the stage. They started chasing the breakaway.
It was really impossible for the breakaway to win the stage now. Around ten kilometres before the finish, the peloton caught them. Several teams started to prepare a mass sprint.
As you can see, our riders are in the front of the peloton. But we don’t have a decent sprinter who started here, so we just tried to get a decent result.
The sprint started, who’s gonna be the first at the line? Our riders are falling back in the peloton. We had a good position before the sprint, but we couldn’t stay there.
Dean Downing from Madison Genesis has won the first stage of the Tour de San Luis. Our first rider, Ian Watson, finished seventeenth. Not bad.

Stage Preview
The second stage of the Tour de San Luis ends with an climb which is between the four and five kilometre. There are two mountain sprints during the stage so we decide to attack.
First with Sobczyk.
And then with Rogers, because he already has four mountain points. Maybe we can take the KoM jersey today!
We didn’t get any other riders with us so we had a breakaway with two. Rogers, won all the sprints, Sobczyk was second.
Hill crashed during the stage, but fortunately he had no injury.
But then there was an attack from a rider of the peloton, Berling. He tried to jump to the breakaway, but he failed.
Sobczyk and Rogers were caught around ten kilometres before the finish. We tried to stay at the front of the peloton with all our riders.
Traksel and Berling tried to attack and they got a gap, but Mori countered the attack. Mori caught the duo and drove away from them. Nobody had a chance to catch Mori and he won the stage! He also got the leader jersey. Watson finished as our best rider. He finished 20th, and now he is standing 15th in the general classification!
Rogers took the KoM jersey, which is a great result! So it was a great day for us. Tomorrow no mountain sprints, and stage 4 is a time-trial, so we keep the KoM jersey till at least stage 5! We will attack again tomorrow, maybe the breakaway will be there till the finish.

Tour de San Luis – Stage 3
Stage Preview
Today was stage three of the Tour de San Luis. A flat stage, and there aren’t mountain sprints. Our rider Vincent Rogers was wearing the mountain jersey today.
So our plan today was to have a rider in the breakaway.
There were a lot of attacks at the start of the stage. We tried to attack with Webb. But it took very much time to have a breakaway.
And finally, after sixty kilometres, we had a breakaway of twelve riders. At that moment, we already passed the first intermediate sprint.
Webb was second at the second immediate sprint. Not bad.
But the peloton was already chasing the breakaway. With twenty kilometres to go, some riders decided to attack. Also Webb attacked.
But the peloton was too strong. They caught the breakaway and just like the first stage we got a mass sprint. We tried to stay at the front of the peloton. But when we start sprinting, we lost a lot of positions.
Just like in the first stage, Dean Downing won the sprint. Mori took over our mountain jersey! Rogers and Mori both have sixteen points, and Mori finished far better today. But Rogers will wear the jersey tomorrow, because Mori is the general leader. Tomorrow we’ll be there, with the individual time-trial.
