As every other team,at the start of the season,we had to take training camp. We had few places , some even out of Balkan, but at the end,our destiantion was Triglav , Slovenia.
It was 4days pre-season training camp, just to get some feeling of bicycles before hard season. I will now try to do quick review of this camp.
First day : passed great.
Hard pace and easy terrain was just right enough to get some form. Everyone was working hardly. There were also some local riders, that arent part of team ,but wanted to practice with us.
Here is the pic of the team, riding around of Triglav Mountain:
Second day: as planned,attacking day.
Every rider tried,at least once, while others was chasing to get them. This is pic of Nose and Rogina attacking. Notice that heigh difference!
Third day: day for long attacks.
Day where a bit worser riders tried with longer breakaways. Here is great photo taken by our photographer!
Fourth day: last day,day for rest.
Well,it was last day at Triglav, this time we went highly in mountains ,but it was slow pace and day for rest.

January - March calendar updated.
Not pretty much to say about it. 2 NCs , 2 road races and few new things.
Lets start with most important. Blanco won't be sponsor of "Blanco ProCycling" team in 2014 , so , team managers has to find new guys. Also , 5-Hour Energy and IG- Sigma Sport lost their secondary sponsors.
Europcar,Soujason and Cofidis got Tour de France wildcards - as expected.
Goss (RR) and Evans (ITT) won Australian Championship, while Roulston (RR) and Sergent (ITT) won New Zealandian Championships.
Thats all , our first race this year takes place in mid-february. It's american "Valley of the Sun Stage race".
See ya! |

Seems the training camp went well. Goodluck in the US, although the profiles don't really suit your team. Doesn't matter, it's only the first race

Valley of the Sun Stage race
First stage of the year for our guys is at Buckeye. Its actually 22kms long Individual Time Trial. Not so much to show except how our jersey looks alike on guys. I will post few pictures and then result
Everything looks awesome when you look behind. This is pic taken while Gorenc was riding. This was great ITT for him!
This pic is taken while Murgeli was riding. It shows front part. I like it so much!
When you look at stage and race,we did not expect pretty much, because it just does not suit to my team and our possibilities , but at the end,we're happy with result , which you can see down there.

Well, I like the effects of those screenshots. I guess there isn't a lot to report in a TT without having a good rider for that anyway

I agree with you, also,i will try to keep importante reports up to 7-8 screenshots and very improtant ones to about 10 max.Sprint and Flat stages will be done in 3-4 and TTs in this way. With Movistart story , i was reporting like 20 ss per report, which is just too,too much. Thanks for following! |

Blanco won't be sponsor of "Blanco ProCycling" team in 2014
Just noticed this. Hope they'll stay Dutch
And no problem, this story looks interesting, and I almost follow every interesting story here, at least once in a while
Doesn't always mean that I comment, though.

Vlley of the Sun Stage race
2nd stage profile:
Nothing so important. Maaaybe attack on last hill, but chances are small because pace will be high. Without real sprinter, our team can't do anything awesome here.
Not so much passed after start but there was breakaway created. Members of this breakaway,at start, was : Starchyk,Duchesme and Perrick. Seemed like nice breakaway.
They rode about 15 kilometers toghether, when, new small group decided to join them. It was also, 3riders group, with Hollo,Zhupa and Summerhill in it.
As in 85% cases, advantage was getting bigger until about 60-70 kms to go,then it started falling down and finally group got breakaway at about 13 kms before finish line.
Meanwhile,at 12 kilometer, our rider, Primoz Roglic fell alone and got fracture of vertebrate. Our prays goes for him. No picture here. We just don't want to show you his pain. It won't be fair. Lets continue with report
Everything is now ready, pace is really high, and sprint can start. Guys started sprinting and even 3 our guys was at front.
Shawn Milne was the fastest but our guys was at front also! Here are 2 pictures of him, winning his first stage in 2013.
and here is the second one.

Good day for us. Even 3 riders in TOP25 in race that we didn't expect anything. As much as we satisfied with result,we're also worried for Rogliz. Hopes he can get well soon! |

We just don't want to show you his pain. It won't be fair
Missed his fall?
But a nice result for the team, considering the lack of a decent sprinter.
A shame that the team doesn't have one, most sprint stages will end like this...
