How to win from a breakaway

I have quite good experiences with winning from flat breakaways. The key is to use a rider with the correct stats, don't relay at all, and attack at the right time.

This topic has been discussed quite thoroughly in two topics on the PCM11 forum. I've made some long posts there describing my exact tactics.

long time since I saw u onskype, Mr Red. loginwhn uan. breakaways are a pain in the arse sometimes, you usually have to ente a stage race having arider or two with the goal of makin it ina breakaway win. usually it works better on GT: s or 4-5 stage races that aren´t worldtour. In TDU, vuelta al pais vasco or tour of romandy they almost never works. be aware when the stage race starts with 1 or two flat stages. the leader there usually is a sprinter, and when the 1st MO-stage comes, the leader team sometimes doesn´t reel breakaway riders in.

droping the rider from the peloton in earlier stages for save green bar will help too
