Da fuq did I just read? Manx said a while ago that cobbled AI was good. He was fuckin' wrong. At least, it gives me hope that in E3 my team can actually do something.
Cobbled AI is quite good... What was wrong with that race? It came to duel with the main stars. So a non-name won, but thats cycling!
Cobbled AI is not good. Cobbled tacticts that's good.
Spoiler I'm screwing myself over, aren't I? |

Great report, mate. You made me believe in the early breakaway, the whole race long
Even though i expected a smaller group to the finish-line here, i must admit that i like those rather surprising (when not too random) winners. A pity his manager ain't active
Gaudin/Sieberg couldn't deliver this time, just like Boeing.. Amex, well: things can only get better from now on.
EDIT: Bougyues, not Boeing.

Great, great, great report Smowz, I was pretty sure the breakaway was going to get away when only BNCR were there to do the chasing, but the chasing was quite epic and I felt that I knew how much time they had to make up.
Obviously a great day for the CT teams who probably forced the favourites to do much of the work while they pounced at the finale, similar to Ciolek using Sagan at the MSR.
Eisel has been a big disappointment so far this cobbled season. He's better than this.

When I saw the start of the sprint, I've had a pretty good feeling about this! Suprise winner to say atleast, but glad JK team got some succes though.
Seems like Steegmans is stuck with this ``Only-Second`` curse (3/4 so far) , but it's only bugs me a little as long it's a C1 race.

Crazy race. Suits my expectations quite well to see Ferreira faring this good in this setting. 6th place is huge by him, and since I wasn't expecting anything more from Machado I'll take this result and say thank you very much.
Great report too Smowz. That was fun to read and really kept the drama of the stage for quite some time. Congrats to the winner and to all those CT teams who performed so well.

Not bad for us considering a) it did come to a big sprint which we don't really like b) Baugnies went way too early in that sprint.
Vanderbergh did very well, 5th and 7th is good. E3 and Dunkerque are the big ones for us. Although win at E3 will be very hard.
Great report Smowz!
E3 is for Boom again. His only cobble race this season iirc.
When being in the early break containing a Bpost and HTC rider I already had hoped for a top10 by Van Aelbroeck.
But when both teams were chasing behind I gave up and expected a 0 pointer due to my weakness on cobbles.
But somehow Van Aelbroeck did even attack later and got an impressive 15th!!! With 62 cobble stat.
How awesome is this to get points in this race with my team.
I think it was his first good performance as he was so far quite a disappointment often finishing far behind. On the other hand I guess he is often one of the first riders to do the pace for Geschke/Vantomme. |

I didn't expect Vanspeybrouck to win everything this year and a podium is fine by me and Van Keirsbulck also in the top ten is unexpected.
Congratulations to JK and my former rider Peeters... Who appears to be having a good season by his standards.

A bad start now gets worse. This was a disaster for AMEXpc. A race where we should have had Eisel in the top 5 and Breschel in the top 10 we get caught out in a split and manage only 11 points as Bart Veyt gets in the break and holds on for 12th place.
Last season AMEX was a 2nd half team. With three more races still in March (IWT Oetingen C2, E3 Prijs HC and the Corisica International) AMEXpc could be so far down in the PCT standing that religation will be an almost certianty.
IWT Oetingen will not generate much help even with a good result which is unlikely with Meas, Steegmans, and Thomas more than likely contending. E3 Prijs will need to be a very key race now. AMEX will be under a huge amout of pressure to produce there. Corisica is a gamble as AMEX does not have a climber entered but will be counting on Sylvain Chavanel to do well on that final uphill stage.
Nobody is smiling on the AMEX bus.

Thrilling race! Really bad luck for AMEX, getting caught in a split. But cool to see the CT teams do so well; congrats!

2 in the top 10, could be worse I guess. But it bugs me that there's always a rider of my team in front of the captain. Last season Kavsek, this season Veelers. Makes me wonder what would happen if we finally worked for our designated leader
