I'm thinking Rodriguez is the favorite too, as he seemed to finish T-A on a high note, and riders who finish in the top 10 here are usually on better form than the ones who aren't targetting the Ardennes, as Purito is. That makes Valverde a contender too. VdB, Uran, D. Martin, Horner could be there too, not excluding Wigginis and Hejsdal |

Even in top form it would be very hard for Wiggins to win with no TTs here. In this case though it's not really relevant as he's far from top form (peaking in May) and Urán is the designated leader

anyone else thinking skys best hope is Uran? hes most likely in better shape than wiggans. not sure why wiggo is ranked so high in the books...and it would be nice to repay the work he did for froome in TA...

top 10 of all time in no particular order, not including the cannibal cause hes automatically #1:
-Gemininani -Nencini -Anquetil -Coppi
-Kelly -Hinault -Zabel -Bettini -Rebellin -Magni
..and honorable mention to Tom Simpson whos career was cut short.
Top 5 noobs most likely to tear it up this season:
-Phinney -Moser -TJ -Guardini -DURBO!

This is Valverde-Purito-Uran battle for me, with Purito having slight edge thanks to his acceleration, so i think it will be him. Nice stages this year, hopefully all parts will be ridden.

You guys can probably guess which two riders I want to win this
Purito or another of the darkhorses in good form will probably take it though, because my fav riders never seem to win (apart from the Giro nbd)

valverde already won a prologue which always looks real good for a GC contender in my book

A warning to CountArach:
1) Carlton Kirby is commentating on the British Eurosport
2) Plenty of sky riders at the front

Crazy Wiggins downhill action. Basically he crushed the peloton on this downhill section, maybe 15-20 riders in the front group. Around 10-20 seconds gap on the peloton. Most Sky riders are in the front group along with Julien Simon, who can maybe have a chance to take the stage win.
edit: 10 km to go
edit: J.Rod and Scarponi in the first group. No sign of Valverde.

Sky broke the field on the descent... about 10-15 riders up front... 15-20 seconds in front |
