Jeremy Hunt took an emphatic victory at Alpe D'Huez as many of his supposed 'stronger' teammates crumbled on the climb. Wiggins was the first to go as he hit 4 reds before most of the others had hit 1, Hunt was lucky as he was at the back when Alpe D'Huez started so while those at the front suffered in setting the pace, Hunt had a relative confortable ride and when it was finally his turn at the front, only Cummings and Hammond were still with him as he sprinted to the win. Dean Downing's injury meant it wasnt worth following the rest of my team so he hung around in the next group before easing away up Alpe D'Huez - despite his injury.
The yellow jeresey fight has now got interesting following Wiggins poor Aple D'Huez.

The stage to La Toussier was one big attrition contest. My 9 went away from the start but Dean Downing fell off the back about halfway up due to his injury. Throughout the climb those with Poor recovery had their red bars increasing while those with Average did not. So as the 2nd HC climb began R. Downing, Cavendish, Millar + Thomas were up front ahead of Cummings, Wiggins, Hunt + Hammond. All of the latter 4 were seperated in this climb while the front group only lost Thomas. At the summit of the penultimate climb Millar was forced to give way as Cavendish + R. Downing carried on. Halway up the last climb and Downing was alown, and hung on to win. There is now a new overall leader!
