Well, that was pretty much it - i shared with you my favourite bands, but if someone enjoyed the music i shared, i can give him link to my playlist on deezer (via PM).
Killing Joke is a great band formed and 1978 and still plays great music. They have their own style, despite being cataloged as post-punk, gothic rock or industrial metal.
I'm a huge Metallica fan, but I posted this one because in 9 days I'll be going to watch Rammstein for the second time. \m/

I was wondering the nationalities of the bands i listen, so here are some of my favorites bands and songs (despite a lot of what i ear is american, british or swedish, i only chose 1 per country).
My favorite band from those i just posted is clearly Opeth. I believe this swedish band is clearly underrated. They are great musicians, play with their hearts and make things most band don't even tried. But that's me who like metal and see them as just a group of musicians travelling around the world doing what they like and making everybody who sees them live happy!
The english band Craddle of Filth had a precious contribution on their song "Nymphetamine" (which also titles the album) from the former Theatre of Tragedy vocalist, Liv Kristin from Norway.
The mix between their voices was caught pretty well on this song and despite i'm not a big fan of their music or that genre of metal this song caught my attention.
I consider myself to be quite a metal fan, I try to explore a lot of genres and pick out those things I enjoy.
As most I started out with Metallica and Iron Maiden (so I won't post any of these) and I guess I should be eternally grateful to my dad for introducing me to them when I was about 8 years old.
So here are some of my personal favourites.

@ longimanus - Listening to many genres is nice! That is what metal have that other musical styles don't. And still there are people just listening to one kind. And still there are people not listening a bit at all. Prejudice.
Once upon a time there was this band from Westford, Hertfordshire who amazed the world of metal...so that wikipedia says about them:
"Sikth's style of music is hard to categorize and as they incorporate many different elements of metal, rock and hardcore. They are commonly categorized as progressive metal due to their unorthodox approach, as well as experimental metal and mathcore due to the complex nature of their instrumental playing abilities and the regular inclusion of dissonance into their music."
Take a look:
Or maybe check one of their albuns "The Trees Are Dead & Dried Out Wait for Something Wild":
Formed in 1999, split in 2008 there were rumors they would come back. I hope so!
Not many participations on this thread, so i'll refresh someone's minds and let people know (whoever has the guts to hit play on one of the videos) what happened in the last 17 years regarding the best metal albuns.
