Yes for the Giro and the Tour
Only the Tour. The Giro spot was removed and given the AXA-Pinerello 2 weeks a go due to a "scheduling" issue
(you dont have enough race days to send a full team to all races)
Yes I just found out |

That's a nice HQ. Wow, those are a lot of WT races. It will be interesting to see if you're going to focus the most on the WT races or on both CT and WT(I believe CT races give more points for the ranking, so to promote, but I believe WT give more money. Anyway, not sure about that, have to check that )
Hope you understand the game even though you didn't have that much time for that

Final location of HQ announced
After several days the management of team TAP-Michelin announced the location of the teams HQ! In the final selection were the cities Almeria, Valencia and Santander. The manegement decided to choose Santander as the location of the team HQ, mostly because it is midway between France and Portugal where the main sponsors are from. TAP-Michelin managed to get an estate on the atlantic front a little bit outside the city:
The whole staff and the riders were ordered to Santander, where the management locked a 7,5 kilometres long circuit and the team leaders were presented to the people on it:
Jakab Zoltan
Propably the most important rider on the squad, he is going for stageraces, since his Mountain and Timetrial abilities are very good. This makes him the leader on the most important race on the teams calendar: Le tour de France. He will be going for some other WorldTour Races and try to be as helpful as possible on TAPs way to the promotion with riding some Continental tour stageraces such as the Amgen Tour of California.
Rui Costa
The best puncheur in our lineup, he is going to be the leader in important races such as Il Lombardia, but he will try to grab some points in hilly stage races like his homerace Volta ao Algarve right in the beginning of the season.
Samuel Love
Our cobbles specialist! One thing that might make him unhappy is the fact that we did not get invited to Paris-Roubaix the most important cobbles classic, but he will be the leader on another monument the Ronde Van Vlaanderen such as the other WorldTour cobbles classics, where he will maybe be able to finish Top 10. In the ContinentalTour his most important race is 5 Jours de Dunkerque with two cobbled stages as long as Cancellara or Boonen wont appear he will go for the win here!
Tom Veelers
A decent sprinter he is for sure but far away from being worldclass. That does not matter as long as he will collect some points in ContinentalTour where he is one of the best in his category. For a promotion in the end of the season he is worth Gold! But only if he can be in front at the end of some races.
Oscar Freire
Ex-worldchampion Oscar Freire will spend one of the last years of his career in the Spanish based team. He is still a decent rider in hilly and cobbled terrain. That makes him the backup for Costa as well as Love in the most important classics. His high stamina and fighting skills will give him for sure the opportunity to win some races in the fall of his career.
Lieuwe Westra
The last of our featured riders is the dutch Westra. He is after Zoltan the second best timetrialist in our team and a good hill specialist. In hilly ContinentalTour races with a timetrial it will be very hard to beat him, that means he will be collecting some very important points to make the team WorldTour in season two.
The Idea
I don't know if it's a good idea but I thought I would make a season opener race around my HQ (used for the pics above!) not part of the UCPCL but with the same teams, so you are invited tho post five riders and I will use them in the race and bring up a report tomorrow.
The Rules
To make it more interesting the riders you will list aren't allowed to have an average higher than 75.
The Route
The race will be raced on a circa 7,5 kilometres long circuit, that will be rode 20 times. The race is classified as flat but beware the circuit has an hill on it with max. 10% slope, that means it will be hard for the sprinters to stay with the peloton until the end of the race! |

I don't think so it's not part of the UCPCL it's just like the rider would be training |

You are new here, you haven't really seen TMM in action!
( Just joking here, it surely won't be counted as a race day )
