His name shows what he does best..?
I can only think of Roelandts... Because he rolls on the land, and he's from Belgium, and a big talent i think. Not sure whether im allowed to take guess though...
Might also be someone starting with 'Van' which means 'from' in dutch...
For example 'vandenbergh' (berg means mountain, so from the mountains) Although the rider Vandenbergh isn't good at climbing at all...

Another guess , which is a bit more likely: Swift, since he is fast (it could even be Ferrari with this logic, however he is out of the region this round)
@ Ollfardh: you made us do the guessing game, so sorry if we guessed it correctly at any point

Well... I tihnk that you might be right... We'll see of course, and he's sure that he gets it, since he's first with picking again...

French talent Demaré signed!
More good news from the transfer market, as the young sprinter from France, Arnaud Démare, signs with Lierse - Pizza Ullo. The 21 year old is a great talent, so we're happy to secure him for 3 years. Obviously he still has a lot to learn, but we think he can get a few wins already this season. That is why we want to make him our main sprinter for the season.
To our Italian fans, the team management wants to reassure you we are going to get Italian riders soon. Unfortunately the UCI did not allow us to sign Italian riders in round 3 and 4, but they will be here soon. So while we lost some good opportunities due to these crazy rules, Italians will arrive shortly.
As already mentioned, the rules are killing us at the moment, but we did a nightshift to get a list of riders we are interested in signing. None of them are big names, but we do have plans for them as team mates. They're are pretty good domestiques, which we also need of course. Then, already looking ahead to round 5, we're expecting to sign one more big name!

Our second young sprinter is here
There was a bit of confusion and some miscommunication from our side in this round, but in the end we went for Leigh Howard, a young Australian sprinter. Though not as good as Démare yet, this one is definitely a talent as well. He will be our lead sprinter for some smaller races, and he'll be the last man for Démare in the big ones.
For the next round, we're still looking at the available draft picks, but we won't change our policy to attrack young talents where available!

Rate the team!
So here we are, 4 rounds into the draft, the continental teams will join us now. We got lucky with the nr. 1 draft pick, but did we make good use of it? We want to ehar from you, our fans, what you think about the team so far.
Our first two riders signed were:
Mitch Thompson
Lucas Gonzalez
Next we drafted, in round 1-4:
Philippe Gilbert, our first pick
Thomas De Gendt, who was 3rd on our list behind S. Sanchez and J. Van den Broeck
Arnaud Démare, again a 1st pick
Leigh Howard, who was 8th on the list, behind an invalid pick, T. Phinney, N. Quintana , M. Matthews, G. Bivin, C. Betancur and R. Janse van Rensburg
Any opputunities we missed? Any cyclist we should not have drafted? The floor is yours, esteemed fans!

- You have great custom riders
- First picking Gilbert might have been to much of a nationalism, should have picked Contador I think.
- De Gendt is a solid choice for a GC rider
- Démare was a really good signing
- You have been bumped hard here, but Howard is not that bad
Overall, looks like a promising team. A challenge to face you |

I actually like the selection of Gilbert first, he'll get you plenty of stages and will be a real threat throughout the classics. De Gendt will also be a useful GC rider, his recovery and TT back up a reasonably strong MO stat, which means that with some support i could see him challenging in either the Giro or La Vulte.
Demare is a reasonable sprinter but i don't think he'll win much to start off. However,t eh fact you have him for 3 years makes his signature a very useful one in the long run

Thanks for the feedback!
As for myself I'm quite happy with my picks, as I think I can compete in most races with the guys I have so far. I have lost my good draft position though, so I'm not sure what the future will hold

Howard transfer not completed yet
It was with great surprise we found out the transfer of Leigh Howard to Lierse - Pizza Ullo has not been finalised yet. As we are deeply concerned about this, we have put our best lawyers on the case. Leigh Howard will be an important member of the team, and we do not want to lose him.
We are hoping that the UCI will make the right decision in this case, so that Leigh can stay a part of the team, as both management and rider want.
Of course, due to the big impact of this problem, the news about our next daft pick is going to have to wait.

Lierse - Pizza Ullo waves the peloton goodbye
It is with great sadness we have to announce the end of Lierse - Pizza Ullo in cycling. Both sponsors agreed this was the hard, but only way out. It was a very hard decision to make for the team, but in the end the confidence in the good will of the UCI was completely gone.
The Leigh Howard case affected us a lot, not only because we really wanted him in the team, but because we felt a strong hostility against our team. This is a fight we cannot win, so it ends for us here, unfortunately.
We would like to stress all staff and cyclists have been fully payed for the duration of their contracts. They are free to go where they want and we wish them all the best in the upcoming season.

Sorry if I gave you that impression mate. I quit because these internet games are supposed to be fun, and this isn't fun for me anymore. For me, the person running the game should do his best to keep his players happy and I didn't feel that was still the case. But really, I wish you and the other teams all the best in this game!
