Since the last announcement Tulip - Guinness have signed two additional riders - two riders that we are very happy to add to our roster!
Today we can finally announce the signing of one of out most wanted riders. Jakob Fuglsang is a former World Champion (U23, Mountainbike), former Danish TT-champion and the only rider to win the Danish stage race Post Danmark Rundt three years in a row. He is without a doubt the best Danish Stage Race rider as he is very competent in the mountains as well as on the TT-bike.
We can't begin to explain how happy our sponsors were when we could finally tell them that we had signed Jakob for three years.
This is a rider we expect great things from in the years to come!
A special thanks goes to Matti Breschel, who really put in a big effort to convince his old friend to join our team.
Other noticable transfers
This round we lost two great riders to competing teams.
Hushovd went to ride his probably last three years for Pure Black - Genesis in New Zealand and the great Climber Chris Anker Sørensen was stolen from right under our nose by TCS.
Two riders we would have loved to have on our team, but who is now lost for us for at least the next three years.
Now we have the two best Danish riders, the 2nd best Stage racer in the world, one of the two best Irish riders and a couple of the biggest talents around. The team is starting to look good, but I promise you that we are not done signing quality riders just yet!

We are happy to announce three quality riders today. Two Italians and a young Dane with a promising future
Having won the Italian TT-championship five years in a row starting 2005 Marco Pinotti have proven himself a top class rider.
He has a good few victories and are a decent rider for the hill as well, which he has proven by decent finishes in some of the smaller stage races as well as a 9th in the 2010 Giro d'Italia.
Marco will be a valuable helper for the team. Especially in the stage races with a TTT. Apart from that we hope he will be able to get some good results in ITT's as well.
Due to his high age we have only signed him for one season.
Dario Cataldo might not have the most impressing palmares but with a win in the Girobio as well as GP Beghelli he has proven to be a strong rider. With both decent uphill finishes and a decent TT-ability he will be an important helper for Froome as well as he will get to ride his chance in some of the smaller races.
Last year only a few people knew Rasmus Quaade - but then he won the Danish ITT-championship in front of all the pros, and went on to getting a silver medal in the U23 ITT World Championship.
Rasmus is known for giving everything he's got almost falling off his bike when passing the finish line - but keeping up the steam right to the end. We are happy to have him for three years, where we will help him get some more fuel on the engine so he can go even faster.
Other noticeable transfers
Since the last update we have lost three strong riders to our competitors.
Team Haier is back making sensible transfers and stole Lars Petter Nordhaug as they was in front of us in the draft que.
Before that TCS signed the ageing Danish Champion Nicki Sørensen and surprisingly for everyone ING signed with Alex Rasmussen.

With the latest addition to the roster the team is really starting to shape up
Given the opportunity to sign another Italian Legend on a one year contract we had to do it. Davide might be old, but with victories in Tirreno-Adriattico, Paris-Nice and several Ardennes classics he has shown in the past that he has a lot to give. We are confident that he still has at leats one good season left in him.
With this 11th signing the team roster is beginning to shape up.
With Chris Froome to lead in the big stage races and guys like Roche, Fuglsang and Cataldo in the second line we will surely be a force to consider in mountainous terrain and the likes of Pinotti, Rebellin and Peter Neilly will be a great help for our captains.
On the flat the team is definitely not among the strongest, but Breschel has done well in the cobble classics before and Kristoff is expected to have a great future ahead of him and we should see him get some good results in sprint finished already this season.
Both the Giro and the Vuelta have a TTT and the Tour de France has more than 100 km of TT'ing. With that in mind the TT-talents Bobridge and Quaade will be very valuable to the team in key races in spite of their young age.
This is a team capable of winning the biggest races on the calendar, but you shouldn't expect to see the team pulling much on the flats.
We are very happy to have the best riders from Denmark and Ireland and the reigning Norwegian Champion along with both the Australian Champion and the Danish TT-champion.
We have gotten of to a good start, but we promise you that even more great riders will be announced in the future.

We are happy to confirm the rumours regarding the signing of two experienced riders. Both good climbers that will be valuable in our chase of GT success.
Besides two victories in the small Spanish classic Bayonne - Pamplona Gorka Verdugo haven't won any races. He's role throughout his career has been as a strong mountain domestique. A role he will continue on our team.
Still Gorka is a strong rider and he might even get a chance in smaller mountainous races.
Przemysław Niemiec is a strong climber from Poland with a few victories on his palmares. Most recently the mountain classifications in the 2010-editions of Settimana Ciclistica Lombarda and Settimana internazionale di Coppi e Bartali. In the latter he won a stage as well.
Last year he stepped up a level riding for Lampre, but now he will be a key domestique for our GC guys and he will probably get a few chances along the way himself.

Our sponsors started getting a little annoyed by the large number of riders from other nations than our home nations, so now we are very happy to announce another four riders. Three of them from sponsor nationalities.
Lasse Bøchman is a well-known rider to the Danish cycling fans. Earlier in his career he has raced two years for CSC/Saxo.
He is a strong Stage Racer with his two wins in Fleche du Sud to prove it.
Lasse will be mainly be riding as domestique, but he might get a chance in some of the smaller races as well.
Philip Deignan is not the most well-known of the Irish riders but he is a great addition to our team with decent climbing abilities and a strong fighting heart. As late as in the 2009 Vuelta Philip won a stage and finished 9th in the GC so he is not a rider to be underestimated.
This talented young Dane was in fact born in Ireland, where he lived the first 16 years of his life. In that way he is a perfect match for our team.
He is a strong stage racer with a lot of development yet to come, so we are very happy to have signed Christopher Juul-Jensen for three years.
Lloyd Mondory have been signed on a one-year contract. Being French he might seem an odd choice for the team, but we really needed a rider to support Breschel and Kristoff on the flat - and Mondory is the perfect rider for the job having a decent sprint and cobble skills. He will be an important helper in a lot of races, but shouldn't expect to get to many chances of his own.

News - Transfers and Calendar
We are very happy to have convinced Martin Mortensen to come back to Denmark after several seasons abroad. Martin is both a decent cobbler and TT'er and will be a strong helper for the team in both the cobbled classics and Team Time Trials.
In his years at Vacansoleil Martin rode alongside Uzbek rider Sergey Lagutin. We are very happy to have reunited the two. Sergey is a strong climber, that will be a very valuable helper to the team in the stage races.
Sergey has several victories in his own right as well. Most prominently perhaps his total of 8 national championships (RR+TT) and a win in Tour de Korea-Japan
Earlier today the UCI confirmed which races on the Continental calendar we have been selected for.
We are very happy to ride both Post Danmark Rundt and Glava Tour of Norway as well as the other races on the calendar.
The final race schedule will be made public within a few days, but here is what it looks like at he moment:
Spoiler Clasica Almeria
Criterium International
GP Indurain
Tour de Belgie
Skoda Tour de Luxembourg
Tour of Quingahi
Tour de Wallonie
Ruta a Burgos
Post Danmark Rundt
GP Fourmies
Paris-Tours
Tour de Vendee

MATHIAS VON TRIESENBERG HQ
Introduction
Hello world of cycling fans! I'm Mathias von Triesenberg and I recently joined Norwegian/Irish/Danish cycling team Tulip-Guinness. You probably haven't heard of me before, so let me tell a bit about myself:
I'm Mathias von Triesenberg, and I'm born in Triesenberg, Liechtenstein. Triesenberg is a village on top of a mountain called the 'Triesenberg'. But there are no schools in Triesenberg, so I had to go down the hill to Triesen to go to school. But the worst part: when school ended, I must have gone that hill up again. And let me tell you, at that age, i wasn't good at climbing. And even worse: we only had one car, and my dad took it to his work every day, and there was no busstop nearby. When I got older, cycling up the hill became easier, but I couldn't cycle the entire mountain. There was one cycling club in Liechtenstein, which had about 5 cyclist. So at the age of 12, I joined that club. They let us cycle over some smaller hills, and I was pretty good at those hills. I was best cyclist of my club. I was the best cyclist in Liechtenstein, ever!!!!!
At the age of 21, some professional cycling teams saw me at the Liechtenstein National Championships (with 5 participants), and they were so impressed about me, they had to fight for me. But in the end, I decided to join Tulip-Guinness, because they made the best offer of all.
This is me, Mathias von Triesenberg, don't forget that name!!
Results this season
Dwars Door Vlaanderen

E3-Prijs Harelbeke

We are happy to be able to announce the signing of four young talented riders from four different countries.
A Great Talent from a Small Country
Mathias von Triesenberg is a 21 year old puncheur who is already one of the best cyclists his country has ever seen. Coming from Liechtenstein that's not saying a lot, but we are confident that Mathias will be among the greats in the future. Therefore we have given him a three-year contract, and will let him rider even some of the biggest races on the calendar.
He is commonly known as "The only guy in Liechtenstein who knows what a bike is"
Philip Lavery may not have many great results yet, but that is just a question of time. At 21 he is already both a decent cobbler and is fast on the line as well. At the same time he's strong enough to get over most of the smaller hills without to many problems. Philip will be a strong addition to our classics squad and might even be able to lead it within a few years.
The Next Big Norwegian Climber
Vegard Stake Laengen is already turning in to a strong climber, and our Norwegian benefactors are really happy to see him on the team. We expect great things from Vegard within a few years. In the biggest races he will naturally be riding as domestique, but he should get a chance to ride his own chance in some of the smaller races, for example his native Glava Tour of Norway.
Arnold Jeanneson is another mountain domestique. He hasn't got many results on his own yet, and he shouldn't expect to add many in his year on our team either. He might get a chance in some of the smaller French races though.

By now the squad is really starting to come together. We are very happy to add three valuable members. A great TT'er and two strong Danes making Tulip very happy about the number of Danish riders in the team.
Jens Erik Madsen is an experienced with both National and World Championships from the track. Jens Erik will mainly ride as support for Matti Breschel and Alexander Kristoff in the flat terrain.
A Quadruple National Champion
Stef Clement is a well-known name for fans of Dutch cycling. He is four times national TT-champion and WC-TT bronze medallist.
I had actually completely forgotten about him, but my son Heimdal, who is currently riding for the part Dutch team Triks Custom Season, reminded me that I could perhaps get a little bit or revenge on TCS for their signings of Nicki and Chris Anker.
Just a few years ago Rasmus Guldhammer was the name on everybody's lips after a number of good results including a win in U23 Liége - Bastogne - Liége. He was given a professional contract, but never quite found his feet. Noe we hope to help him find back to his old potential in a safe environment.

I think that you didn't see the dutch national jersey because it has Ligthart's name on it, so it would make much sense anyway (also the reason why I didn't try to sign Quaade and Grabsch)

We thought that this news bulletin would just be the announcement of four additional helpers, but in fact we have a fifth rider for you to big surprise and delight of us all. All in all our sponsors are very happy after the last transfers have been secured.
A True Champion of the North
Thor Hushovd hardly needs any presentation as former World Champion, green jersey winner in le Tour, stage winner in all three GT's (10 stages in Tour de France), several NC's in both RR and TT, great results in the cobble classics and we could go on for hours.
Thor had originally signed with Pure Black - Genesys, but he never quite felt home in the new surroundings downunder and after a bit of negotiation the management graciously allowed us to inherit his three-year contract, so that Thor can finish his career in his home area.
Thor will share cobble captaincy with Matti Breschel and we expect him to get the team several wins over the season.
Another Champion of the East
Alexandre Pliuschin is not a household name in Western Europe - yet. The 24 year old Moldovian is already three times national champion, former U23 Ronde van Vlaanderen winner as well as he has several good results from the track. He will be an important helper throughout the season and he might even get a chance in one of the smaller races on the calendar should he prove worthy of it.
David O'Loughlin is the final addition to the Irish part of the roster. He is known for lots of great achievements on the tracks as well as his three national championships from the road in both the road race and the TT. David is no youngster, but he still has some good race days left in him. He will be a valuable team member in the Team Time Trials to come.
Haavard Nybö is not the most prominent name in Norwegian Cycling, but with a win in the 2009 Rogaland GP he has proven a rider with a strong finish. Since then he has not ridden on the highest level, but we have convinced him to get back and be part of Kristoff's train.
Jonas Aaen Jørgensen is still a fairly young rider. He is strongest on the flat and will be helping Thor and Matti on the cobbles as well as preparing the leadout for Kristoff.
