I dont think being manager and having both old and young rider in one team is good. It severly limits the role playing aspect.
People will tell you that the inter person interaction of PCMCL is a good thing.
Also surely this only works if there are lots of people controlling lots of teams. You could fill the WT (but even PCMCL hasnt done that), but i doubt you'd fill the a large enough proportion of the CT to make it competitive enough.

I need to agree with TheManxMissile on that one.
don't start to big, MFS took that risk and for him it ended well but given the other variation on this you'll need to start small in case of teams not having a manager

Ah, that's a fair question. In all honesty, that's something I haven't thought about yet. I'll give that some thought! 
On that note, just to make it clear for everyone, this is still more or less a brainstorming session. Nothing is final and the game isn't going to launch within the near future.
About the size, I'm not expecting to have a nor a full CT nor a full WT. My current expectation is that some people take the big teams, while other like the benefits the smaller teams get. Still other people just have a special bond with some team. One of the Brits here will take Sky, even if I remove Cavendish, Wiggins and Froome from the DB 
In short, we'll see what we get. If a team does not get picked, it does not get picked.

Oldfardh - As long as thats planned for then thats good.
Still just seems like PCMCL 2.0 to me, albeit those changes are good.

sorry about that, however I have a back-up plan.
edit: wasn't planning on getting Rabobank. my main plan is that in TCS Rabo will be an allround team, in MFS a sprinters team and in JCS a GC team. then there isn't a specialty left

No problem, I might go for a tactical choice and will choose a team that fits my custom riders(then it still could be Rabo ofc) or choose a CT team...

It's ambitious, but that ain't necessarily bad.
Though big project do tend to not survive, as SSJ2Luigi said, but there's no reason this one could not survive, though.
Anyway, it's definitely worth giving it a try, though, I think. |

I see your point, but as this is a story-based game, it kinda needs every team to have its own thread. This does seem to be the most appropriate forum for it. But I hope the quality of some people's stories will justify the use of the stories section!
