The break get's formed really early, formed by 7 riders. The main rider in the break is Christina's Stefan Schumacher. 7 riders are chasing them, with the biggest name between them beeing FDJ's Arnold Jeanesson.
Both groups reunite in the intermediate sprint, where Tim De Clercq is 1st, beating Sebastian Pot and Marc de Maar.
2nd intermediate sprint of tha day is taken by Euskaltel's Miguel Minguez, who beats Edwin Cammaerts and Stefan Schumacher.
The last intermediate sprint of the day is a very close one. Edwin Cammaerts is 1st, Tim De Clercq 2nd and Yohan Genè 3rd. After this, the real race will start for the favourites.
We enter the 1st cobbled section still about 4 minutes and 30 seconds behind the break, but we need to break the pack. C'mon team, do it!!!
And the 1st attack from the peloton comes from Rick Flens! The Rabobank rider is not one of the favourites but with his fighting ability he can prove a surprise here.
It took 17km to another attack to come. Flens still has a gap, but he break it's still there. Ghyselinck sees a danger there and attacks. Can he create a gap? I decided it's still too early to attack, but I'm waiting for the last cobbled section.
And this is an dangerous attack! It's Accent Job's veteran, Leif Hoste who attacks. I come forward so I can wait for the last cobbled section to launch my own move.
Hoste caught, it's Hayman. I saw in Le Samyn the same thing, so I follow. Kinda of early, but this men already did this once, so he can do it again.
And there's a big mess when the break get's caught. I entered the break just before it was caught, so the placing was good. It's a very messy confusion with this attack from De Clercq getting answered by Ludvigsson and Flens.
And it's Ghyselinck on the counter. The Cofidis rider counter my attack and goes for it. Hayman is having dificulties following us.
But we get caught too. Now, it's Koen de Kort that attacks getting countered by Rabobank's Tjallingli. I'm gonna wait to see if anything happens. If not, gotta sprint.
And entering the last 5km's it's Hayman again on the move! He get's countered by Julien Vermote who, if he finishes with Hayman alone, can become the new GC leader.
Going into the last quilometre it's Vermote who's in the lead. Hoste his currently sitting right behing with Van Emden trying to close the gap.
But no one can stop Vermote from winning the stage! It's a create win for the young belgian. 2nd place goes for Leif Hoste and 3rd for Gert Steegmans.
I cross the line a little bit behind, in 46th , but included in the 1st group.
