Looking back on the Tour Down under, my first pro race ever.
In the first stage I was nowhere. It was a bit hectic, yet Tom managed to grab 2nd. Though he assures me it was not the case, I still feel he could've won if I hadn't bailed out of the chaos.
The second stage gets more and more disappointing as I look back. I should've done better then 7th, as none of those gys were better then me. I was just too passive, didn't want to take risks until the final. I was just too far back to make something of the sprint. A rookie mistake payed cash, as I look back on the rest of the Tour.
Stage 3 was another sprint, again not good for us. Adrian Hanzen proved he's likely to be the best sprinter of the season.
Stage 4 went to Hanzen again, his 3rd one already!
Then stage 5, where I had my chances. But I made another rookie mistake and got passed by Maxime Oget, who would go on to with the GC. A nice second place though.
The final stage was our best then, we finaly got our sprint train working to beat Hanzen. Tom finished off the team work and brought home the bacon!
So there are some mixed feeling here. All in all it was a positive experience, but some rookie mistakes that made me lose all chances of taking my first win. But the season is still young

I'm uncertain. Maybe. Depends if Movistar might send Rojas to Paris Nice |

Rojas won't threaten him. At least, in my game he always wins stages in either P - N or T - A |

Hello Quick Step - Omega Pharma fans!
After Australia I got back home, and helped Tom to victories in Omloop Het Nieuwsblad en Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne, it's now time for my next World Tour race. It's march by now, so we're going to Italy to ride the Tirreno-Adriatico!
Two reasons I'm riding there, the most important will be riding my lower back off for Vincenzo. He's a really talented stage rider from Italy, so it's only normal we're all going to do our absolute best for him. The second reason is preparing for Milan - San Remo, which will be my first highlight of the season.
The time trial and the mountain stage will be a bit rough for me, so for those thinking I can repeat my podium from Down Under, you're wrong unfortunately. I might try a stage win at some point, but other then that, it'll be working for Vincenzo. He told me this race was very important to him, so we will need to ride much more active compared to Australia. If we can control the race, he can win this!
I'll keep you updated as much as I can!
~ Rudy

My bet for Tirenno is for Vincenzo Moretti. All though he's still has not shown us what he can do, i'm certain he can take at least a stage win |

Oh, it seems championships do not count for race days, so I have a few days left. Would it be possible to add Rudy for Beijing? Should end up on a total of 54 days by my calculations.

Beijing isn't on the calender I belive...
Edit: Sorry, it is, but it wasn't in the calender at the start of this game...
Maybe my rider should go to Beijing too

A big congratulations to Tony Martin and the rest of the team in Paris-Nice! We left Australia in the winning mood and we kept it. Stage win, leader's jersey and best team! Keep up the good work!
