New Zealand isnt looking as busy as the Asian transfer market will be this season I imagine?
There is only a handful of us... Although, it will be very competitive to try and grab a few riders. I think I may have accidentally awoken Valv to Korea, there are a few riders in there that might be promising in the future...

It should be an interesting transfer window either way, heres hoping you can get some of your targets for the coming season, out of interest has an asian rider ever won a stage in the GTs?
My mistake, im demoting myself to my own special league already!

You can be sure, that Valv (and others ..) did (or will) also the check the Koreans, so don't be afraid that you have awoken him to Korea

Kazakhstan counts as Asia in Cycling and Vino won the 2008 Vuelta. But theres been no Eastern Asia GT stage success

Yeah I meant eastern Asian, for some reason in my mind Kazakhstan is European
I had a brief look but it seems Arashiros third place in the Giro two years ago might be the highest stage finish so far |

It should be a very interesting transfer window! I also hope that I can get some of my targets as well.

I'm sure they have, but maybe with not as much detail. There are a few riders there that I'm surprised don't have contracts....

It is because most of them are new this season. South East Asia had a huge number of riders added this season, including quite a lot who are already maxed out.

Fair enough. Even if they are already maxed out though, they can still be quite useful in obtaining results over the next year. Although, I'm not quite sure if I'll be obtaining the results that I'm hoping. We'll see.

Cadburys close in on New Zealanders
With the transfer window fast approaching the teams throughout all the divisions are beggining to settle on their transfer targets for the coming season and the newly formed Team Cadbury-Schweppes are no different, with a host of promising riders from New Zealand recently being linked with the continental team.
Here we take a look at the possible Kiwis that might be making a name for themselves in a purple jersey for the coming season...
_______________________
Micheal Torckler
The Young sprinter is lucky to even be alive, let alone be close to persuing his career as a professional cyclist following a hit and run accident whilst training in America but with his recovery complete, Team Cadbury are keen to give the resurgent Kiwi a place in their new found team, with his strong sprint ability key to Cadburys ambitions for 2013.
Aaron Gate
Following his Olympic bronze medal it is hoped the Twenty Three year old will now devote his full attention to acheiving his potential on the road cycling circuit. With his contract at Oz Cycling Project drawing to a close and with little sign of a new one on the horizon, Cadbury are eager to bring him into their ranks.
Tom David
Choosing to persue his dream career in Road cycling, the Twenty Two year old moved to Belgium in order to be one step closer to the professional ranks and following an impressive display over the years, Cadbury-Schweppes are seemingly set to reward the strong cobble rider with a contract for the coming season
Michael Vink
Rumoured to be set for a loan in 2013 from his parent club Oz Cycling Project, it seems to be a match made in heaven for the promising youngster at Team Cadbury Schweppes and a season in the lowest rung of the professional Cycling ladder could well be the best for all parties as the look to bring Vink one step closer to his massive potential.
Jack Bauer
Quite possibly the best all round rider in New Zealand, the Team at Cadburys-Schweppes would kill to have such a rider in their ranks but with him seemingly destined for a stay with Meiji - Cannondale or another team in the top flight of cycling, it seems Bauer and Cadbury are not set to be united for a while to come yet.
Sam Bewley
One Day! I swear! One day he will be mine!
Standing head and shoulders above all the other Kiwis, Bewley is quite possibly one of the best sprinters in the world and will certainly not be slumming it down at Cadburys-Schweppes anytime soon. With his career at Milka-AVG going from strength to strength Cadburys-Schweppes can only watch on and admire but I think its safe to say The team would consider themselves a success if they could ever have a rider of Bewleys ability in their ranks.

I like that your team is dreaming high!
Good luck during transfer season, especially Tom David looks like potentially superb signing.

Brits still high on the list for Cadburys-Schweppes
With a deal of Cadburys attention being taken by business in beautiful New Zealand, it has been easy to overlook the teams movements in their home country.
However thats not to say theirs not a few rumours flying around back in goold old Blighty and completing our review of Cadburys supposed transfer targets we take a look at a few of the riders that might be joining the Chocolate boys in 2013...
_______________________
Tobyn Horton
Once suggested to be one of the finest up and coming talents in British cycling, Horton has never really reached his full potential. With no contract and not alot of attention being placed in British riders it seems Horton and Cadburys could be prepared to help each other reach their goals for 2013. The solid sprinter with a rapid punch could certainly help Cadburys towards making an impact in their debut season.
Kieran Frend & Joshua Edmondson
With Cadburys seemingly concentrating on sprinters and good riders on the flat, Kieran Frend and Joshua Edmondson could be the ideal signings for the continental team, to spread their range of skills. Their strong hill climbing ability could well give the team another edge towards picking up some victories in the 2013 calendar.
Erick Rowsell & Rob Partridge
Theres one team the Cadburys team have been quick to pay attention to; Jaguar-Eritel. Quite possibly the biggest team in British cycling, Cadbury Schweppes are keen to learn from their experience and with a host of Brits rumoured to be available for loan from the cycling Giants a riders like Erick Rowsell & Rob Partridge could hopefully be seen in the distinctive jersey of Cadburys Schweppes next season but with both seemingly destined for bigger and better things, the young riders are unlikely to make a move to the newly found team.
David Millar & Russell Downing
Its fair to say the duos best days are certainly behind him, once some of strongest riders in Britain they have since been eclipsed by the likes of Swift and Faiers but for Cadburys-Schweppes they still represent a strong pair of riders for the coming season that could hopefully see them mix it up in the time trial and prologue stages along with some potential sprint stages. With both seemingly destined for the free transfer market with their contracts nearing an end at Pendletons, hopes are high for the new found team to land their men.
Geraint Thomas
Once again its Jaguar-Eritel that hold the key to Cadburys ideal signings but with the Olympic medal winning Welshman seemingly destined for the door, the dream team member for the CT Team could well be on his way to another outfit for 2013, however with his strong ability it remains to be seen if Cadburys can even compete with the money that will likely be offered for the strong cobble rider.
Steven Cummings
With some strong sprinters linked with Cadburys for the coming season, the team are going to need some work horses to get them into the best positions and the ability of Steven Cummings certainly presents Cadburys with the type of rider that could drag their sprinters to the front of a peleton in no time at all. With him to seemingly being ushered out of the door at Pendletons, Cadburys will be quick to make their move should he become available.
Simon Richardson
One of the strongest climbers in Britain today, the likes of Simon Richardson are few and far between but with Cadburys seemingly determined to stick to their principles of recruiting from New Zealand and Great Britain, the dream to try and force Richardson away from airBaltic-Endura presents Cadburys with their best possibility of grabbing a strong climber in the near future. However with a strong role at airBaltic it is unlikely Richardson would even consider a move down to such a low level.

The British riders on Evian-MIAT won't have their contracts renewed, so if you are interested in them then they'll definitely be available. |

I think we would be very interested in Simon Gaywood and Ed Clancy, they would certainly make a great addition to our team. |

First nine new riders arrive at Cadburys.
With the transfer season in full swing, the teams have all been quick to jump into action and new boys on the block, Cadburys, were eager to keep up with the frantic pace, brining in nine new faces...
_______________________
Clinton Avery £50,000 75 FTR 73 SPR 72 STA
First to arrive at the newly formed Continental team was Clinton Avery. The young New Zealander has bags of potential and is already a fairly promising attacking rider on the flat stages and could well make an appearance in some of the cobbled races throughout the calendar.
_______________________
Shane Archbold
£50,000 73 ACC 72 TT 70 SPR
Another Kiwi and another young talent. Brought in as a domestique to help guide our sprinters to the finish line, he possess a mean quick finish himself as well as being more then able to compete in the TTs.
_______________________
James Oram
£50,000 68 TT 68 PRO 68 ACC
At just Twenty years old, its fair to say Oram is definatley one for the future but the debutant already looks well on his way to becoming a very strong Time Trial rider at this level and beyond.
_______________________
Kieran Frend
£50,000 72 STA 71 HIL 71 DHI
With a host of New Zealanders seemingly all on their way to Cadburys Schweppes, the arrival of Kieran Frend makes sure the home nation of the young team is still represented and its hoped with his strong fighting ability on the hills he will look to pickup some British victorys from the breakaways.
_______________________
Aaron Gate
£50,000 75 FTR 71 ACC 70 STA
Similar to Frend, it is hoped that former Oz Cycling Project rider, Aaron Gate will be able to make the most of his strong fighting ability to pick up some breakaway victorys should the races take to the slopes.
_______________________
Timothy Gudsell
£50,000 77 ACC 73 TT 73 PRO
With a fine collection of promising riders arriving to the team, the team turned to experienced rider, Timothy Gudsell to guide them to reach their potential. The strong sprinter will look to bolster our sprint train for the coming season, whilst his Time trialing ability could see him pick up some podiums of his own.
_______________________
Jeremy Vennell
£50,000 73 COB 72 TT 72 PRO
A strong all round veteran rider, Vennell will be the captain on the road, with his strong ability able to hopefully make the most of any situation he is placed in to bring our key riders to the front, whilst hopefully having enough about himself to make the most of any cobbled races
_______________________
Sam Harrison
£70,000 74 ACC 70SPR 70 TT
Another strong young sprinter, Harrison doesnt quite have enough to go for victory himself but given the time and the opportunity he could well be set for a strong career in the continental division but for now he is another engine for our growing sprint train.
_______________________
As the nine new faces make themselves at home, the team is still working tirelessly to try and add syet more, New Zealand and British flair to the team, with the likes of Micheal Vink, Micheal Torckler and Tom David still alluding the continental team, their hunt for a strong team leader goes on.

Glad to see Williams found a new home
And Sam Harrison's a bit of a bargain, since he'll develop very nicely.

You pay your riders in pounds, does that mean your salary cap is 1206426,61 £ only?

The bosses behind Cadburys-Schweppes, were today pleased to announce there first money transfer of the season, following a straight forward transfer of £125,000 with Oz Cycling project to allow another young Kiwi to pull on the iconic purple jersey for the coming season.
_______________________
Micheal Vink £125,000 - OCP £50,000 73 DHI 71 FTR 70 HIL
Initially rumoured to be arriving on loan, Vink found himself surplus to requirements for the coming season but was happy to make the drop down the divisions to take a up a key role at Cadburys-Schweppes, working as both a domestique on the flat stages and a punchy little rider when we take to the hills.
_______________________
With a number of quality domestiques and young talented riders now in the team, attention for the Cadburys-Schweppes management now turns to finally sealing the deals that will bring in their leaders for the fast approaching season.
