Well. I heard the Koreans are nice, so go sign them As for the Japanese riders, dont think there are any decent ones in the db, so no point trying......
You are just CT though I think. Hopefully you have a delayed transfer season like last year, or else I'm not getting 3/4 of my team on 50k wages
Edit:
We could definitely do some loans though.....
Nope everyone does transfers at the same time.

It's alright Valv, I'll try to not be too big a pain. There will have to be some compromise though.

Today, we were lucky enough to conduct an interview with the manager of the new Asian team on the block, JK Cycling. The very handsome and well-spoken man had a lot to say, and we were most grateful to be able to be in his presence.
Interviewer: Congratulations on becoming the manager of this new exciting cycling project! First off, what are your plans for the up and coming transfer season? We hear there is already competition on the Asian market.
DaBobScotts: Indeed. The transfer season is going to be an interesting one; there are lots of strong riders up for grabs. This year we really need to make an impression on both the public and governments funding our project. Building a strong and successful team that will at least earn us a spot in the Continental Tour next year is our main focus as a team. We would like that team to be comprised primarily of Japanese and Korean riders, however I am not discounting drawing riders from other sources.
I: That sounds like a solid plan. Where do you see this team heading, both short term and long term?
D: As I said, this first year is going to be crucial as to setting up for the future. Building a strong team comprised of future talents will be important, and setting up working relations with others in the field is also going to be important. I really want to give the team a Euro feel too; I think that this could be important as to how we are perceived by the public. Over the long term, we would ultimately like to take this team to Pro Cont. and beyond, but we may need some corporate sponsorship for that. Right now, we are happy to be racing where we are, and have the opportunity to showcase some of the talents that have otherwise been overlooked by the larger teams.
I: There are some who doubt your ability as a manager. What can you say to them?
D: Well, I don’t mean to brag or anything, but I rode with Pat Jonker once.
I: It certainly sounds like you know what you are doing to me! Congratulations once again and good luck for the future.
D: Thanks.

Good to see another Japanese team. (Sorry Valv )
Definitely something that will be nice to follow if some more Asian teams start their fight for Asian leadership. |

I'm hoping that we (i.e. Valv and I) can get along. Maybe. And I'm hoping that there isn't more Asian teams to compete for dominance! It's going to bad enough with Valv...

With the season getting closer, there was a press conference today involving the release and announcement of JK Cycling’s jersey and some additional sponsors. While the team is starting to get itself organized for the transfer season ahead, there is still a lot to be done between now and then.
The Jersey *now approved! (but not used)*
Surprisingly, Cipollini has jumped on board, along with Lightweight and Rudy Project to supply the equipment needed for this up and coming season. It was expected that a predominately Asian manufacturing company would supply the team with all that was needed. Toyota is rumoured to be supplying the team with vehicles, although nothing has been confirmed yet.
Cipollini had the following to say about His latest venture:
“I believe that competitive cycling is going be something that continues to develop in Asia and I want this team to ride only the best. Why I am sponsoring this team over other European teams is not to be discussed here. I look forward to working with JK Cycling and DaBobScotts over the coming season, and hopefully well into the future.”
Needless to say the Italian media is furious. It should also be noted that this interview was conducted while He was naked, riding through the Alps with three highly trained assassins trying to kill him as fighter jets flew overhead.
It was also surprising to see some noted dignitaries at the press conference, including North Korea’s Kim Jun Un, who most notably tried to eat the stage and offered to buy the team for six thermonuclear warheads. DaBobScotts declined the offer.

Im not mad at you or anything
It was only a matter of time before another team put focus on asia. I could have gone for some other type of team, and instantly had 3+ "rival" teams, so to only have 1 with the same focus as mine, and only in my 2nd season isn't too bad.
Of course not signing my targets would be nice, but that probably wont happen.
I would have taken that deal from Kim Jun Un though

Plenty of jersey makers around if you want a better jersey! The placements of your 'JK Cycling' text won't look too great in game

I gathered you weren't mad. Should provide both of us with an interesting transfer season, although I doubt I'm going to be able to outbid you on much.
And I am regretting not

Yeah, I've already thrown it into the game, and the numbers cover the back. Other than that, it isn't too bad. The first attempts were a lot worse. It's there now, so I might get someone to do a better job next season, if I'm still here.

This is an easy tool for testing jerseys. https://pcmdaily.c...page_id=30
Does anyone know whether the Shirt Viewer is compatible with the way PCM12 shows jerseys? I tested my jersey in it...

I've checked the jersey in PCM itself. It's not too bad. However, ANF might be rigging me up a supper dooper cool one! Isn't he awesome?

I just want to say a big thanks to all those who have already helped me so far! There is already too many to list, and I am really appreciative of that. Yes, that includes you SN (tables..... never again....), ANF, Jak..... The list goes on and on! It really is a monument as to why I frequent this forum, and i hope that someday I will be as constructive a member as you guys (listed here and others) are. You really are someone to aspire to. Thanks, and keep up the good work. This forum would be nothing without you!

BREAKING NEWS
In a sudden and unusual announcement today, the jersey of the Japanese – Korean Cycling Project has changed! With the announcement of new sponsors, and a highly professional jersey designer jumping on board, DaBobScotts has decided that it would be best to progress.
The New Design *yet to be approved*:
A fine example of a professional jersey.
Thanks ANFreeman!
The new sponsors jumping on board are already involved in sponsoring cycling events, and have taken the next step. These new sponsors are:
KSPO - Korean Sports Promotion Organisation
IBK - Industrial Bank of Korea
Subaru – Car Manufacturing Company
Nippo – Construction Company
It is very interesting that Subaru has jumped on board, over Toyota who was rumoured to be involved.

I'm just wondering if people would prefer this as a story type deal or just a list of results and stuff.

Last season I did a 200-800 word report for every race we competed in. I enjoyed it, but very few people read it. Your call. |

Thanks guys! Looks like at least some people are reading it, so I think I'll continue for now.
Also, since no one has answered it yet, who would you like to see in JK Cycling?

Very nice shirt, although I believe A LOT of teams will be difficult to distinct from one another. Almost every other shirt has a main white with either some blue or some red included.
Perhaps someone with the game can try to make a picture of the peloton with those new shirts, so people can see whether or not they are happy with the design? I'm still edging on whether to pick the dark, or the light one...
