And also, Talansky's age is like four years off, now that I'm looking at the young Americans. |

None of rjc, Levi, or Ben Curfs were needed either when they were added. It was just kind of a fun thing for them to be in the game.
I didn't see why I wouldn't be added.
Because no one else has been since?

I couldn't think of anyone that would have asked to? I just assumed no one had tried.
Considering how ridiculous the DB is to begin with, I don't see why you seem to be worked up about it... |

I'm not worked up about it, I would just prefer that all new riders are actually real riders. To be honest, you are the only one here who seems even slightly incensed by the whole thing.

Apparently we're misreading each other. I'd like to be in the DB, if I'm not, it's not a big deal (obviously). I just think it's kind of a cool thing that we can be in the game. If I work my ass off I could probably become a decent amateur (when I'm in shape I'm a quality rider), but certainly no better, and it's fun to imagine what it would be like as a pro. As the database is already highly inaccurate to reality, I don't see what the big deal is.
Also, if you don't think I don't want to make fun of rjc or Levi if my avatar beat their avatar in a race, you are surely mistaken
Anyway, should probably stop hijacking the thread. If you all are opposed to adding me, fine by me. I would certainly like it though. |

It's going to be sad looking through the database and figuring out my perfect team and then realize that I don't even have a team, lol.
Still having fun looking through the database even so. |

I think Reinhardt Janse Van Rensburg (Wikipedia) got his stats upgraded without you accounting for him going from level 3 to level 4 in that column.

I'm hiring Perikles Ilias. I figure with modern antibiotics we'll be safe from the plague.

It seems poeple noticed why we've been talking about Dombrowski :-p
Luckily for us others there are many other good talents, even thought Dombrowski is at his own level. My guess is that he will end up in one of the American Pro Tour teams, but will be interesting to see

It'll be Wikipedia then. I'm going to have a hard enough time retaining a place to fork out that much.

Btw, a comment for the transfer season. There are right over 400 riders with an average of 70.00 or more in the DB

The reason some riders have been hit hard by the new AVR while some riders have not at all is that it is designed to raise the avg of riders with few high stats. So that riders like Alarcon and Di Maggio can't dominate the CT in the same way they have done. This will lead to both their wage rising (I guess not for Alarcon...) and their race days declining. The reasons for riders not changing alot is that they got balanced stats. Iirc correct from the avg stat discussion sprinters in general have fallen in avg (due to -10), which will make them a bit more valuable (they have been poor point scorers compared to race days and to other type of riders)

Dombrowski sucks btw.
Well he don't obviously, but I don't see what the fuss is all about. He will become 84 MO, right? But with 75HI and 71TT stat, I doubt he will be the future Tour winner. He needs quite some training to win that race I reckon. There are already a decent amount of climbers with 82-83MO but with significantly better backup stats. A rider such as Andy Schleck is quite comparable, but already at the top of his game, and also is probably 84-85MO by the time Dombrowski is ready to ride the big leagues.
But let the americans go crazy

Well, here goes the reporters advantage now, and some more managers will join my sleepless nights
About Joe D:
Surely, he's not the most balanced GT rider, but this is probably the first time in ManGame history that a new rider will be (at least tied) best in his specialty only by maxing out!
But I agree with Heine, especially Western Europe is crowded with talents this year, and Pelli will be happy about Lutsenko
I fear we'll go down dead last because I just can't let all these promising riders go to other teams...keep your hands off Demare!!
