unbelievable, first stage for my new team and first stage win for Adrian (Hanzen). the train of Haussler-Me-Farrar-Hanzen worked perfectly for us and with the stage win the moral is very good with us. Hope there are many more win's this season. even more important to me is that I managed to beat my nephew (Jacques Veenhof-Radioshack). I'll ends this tweet with me in the lead

But doesn't matter, the twitter report seems nice...

What a great day that was! First race, first win, just awesome.
Got to say thanks to the team for a fantastic leadout, you guys made it easy for me.
Also massive thanks to Argos-Shimano for doing a lot of the work to control the break.
Tomorrow will be good in Ochre, and i hope i can keep it.
Hanzen

Great rider today. Surprised i felt so good on the hills. The team did well to keep everything in check. Mike looks good so Willunga could be his day.
Very happy to still be in Ochre, especially if thats the treatment i get

J. Bakker on Twitter
After the stage win of Adrian yesterday, I found myself leading the peloton; chasing de Kort and the moment I wasn't looking he made the break work. Rookie mistake I hope. lukely I did managed to miss the crashes today but when the attacks came, I was already beat. good thing is that Adrian still has the GC lead by a very small margin

The team have been outstanding in the last few stages. They have done loads of work for me, and i feel bad that i've lost the GC today.
But 3 stage wins, hopeing to become 4 should ease the pain.
Tomorrow we will work hard to try and control the race. 24 seconds, its doable.

J. Bakker after TDU 6th stage and review TDU
maybe the nerves of Adrian got the best of him, I did my best for him so I'm happy about that. so if I do my job well, He can win even more races.
Tour Review
Is was a fun tour, with some good results for Adrian, to bad he didn't win the GC

Mike Pye Tour Down Under Review
Well, the team had a great first tour down in Australia! My team mate Hanzen had an incredible race, winning 3 stages! Personally the race wasn't quite as exciting as i'd hoped, mostly I was playing leadout for my Adrian. Having said that, I still managed to pick up a top 10 finish in the GC after the sprint up Wilunga, and on day 6 in Adelaide I even grabbed a podium finish after Adrian was feeling slightly off.
All in all, happy to have some racing under my belt this season, looking forwards now, and excited for the Paris-Nice, where if things really go my way, I could even grab the yellow jersey in the prologue!

I literally fell of my couch when I saw that Jacques got second, thank god that Tony (Martin) was faster other wise I needed to be taken in a hospital. it looks like an great race for the Veenhof family with the son getting 2nd and the father getting 4th as a manager of Saur Sojasun
