Evian to search for "top class" puncheurs
Evian - MIAT manager JPH has spoken today of the need for his team to sign top class puncheurs for the upcoming season. Media speculation has already linked the team to Damiano Caruso, Hassen Ben Nasser and Jeremy Roy, with reports today suggesting an interest in other riders. Cesare Di Maggio is one name who has been mentioned, although Vanchi will understandably be unlikely to let him go, ditto Dmitri Claeys of Lotto-Cervelo. Maurice Schreurs of relegated Spyker Cars has also been mentioned, alongside Aleksandar Flugel of VW-Mapei. Dietmar Mehr-Wenige, Dan Craven and Giovanni Visconti have also had their names mentioned, from the free agency. |

It must be said, you're certainly only targeting some of the best

In fact, new PCT teams will have in generally more money for wages than actual teams right (not more absolutely but more for new appointments)? We can keep our D2 riders for minimum, however we cannot use much of them quality wise. But existing PCT teams need to make some room by releasing/selling someone, while new teams have quite white sheet of paper in fron of them.
Metinvest doesn not have so high profile targets probably, but we will meet somewhere on the transfer market with Evian for sure (Craven is mine, or Ben Nasser)

Jeremy Roy is, of obvious reasons, one of my main targets. But clearly I won't be paying shitloads of money to get a french rider in as hilly domestique for Ulissi if he ends up being more expensive than my captain is.
But I will be willing to make some sort of deal on loaning out riders, selling riders or leaving other riders alone if I can somehow get Jeremy Roy in, at a reasonable wage. Fx. I could scratch Mehr-Wenige off my top priority list.

True, but the original teams probably have domestiques at 50-60K wages much much better than D2 teams does, and can therefor concentrate on the quality signings, whereas the D2 teams need to get everything in order to stand a chance to support their leaders. And a domestique that is 50K wage for an old PCT team, could well be worth 80-100K if he was a free agent.
If we take Hollister as an example he has domestiques such as:
Richard Ochoa Quintero - 80K
Carlos Betancourt - 80K
Alessandro Proni - 55K
Rusland Sambris - 50K
Riders you can be almost certain would end up having a higher wage if you were to pick them up in the FA pool. Btw, after renewals they might even decrease (could increase aswell of course).
There are better examples than Hollister, but it's important to be aware of the benefit the existing teams actually have. SN's Jaguar does have riders like Ian Bibby, Chris Froome, Alex Dowsett and more at hysterical lowe wages, while your riders at an equal wage demand are pretty useless.
So for new PCT teams it will be very difficult to manage a competent team. Not impossible at all, but imo they do have a disadvantage.

That is true completly, i rather ment affordable wage able to be paid for single free agent this transfer season, rather than strenght and depth of the whole team, here the existing teams are and will be much, much better. Sorry for spamming.

My grandfather called that "throwing horseshoes at the Moon". They usually just fell back to earth or on your head. <grin> |

To all the new teams, if you see anyone riding for Evian-MIAT in the database who you think could be of use to your team simply post in here, and I'll bear that in mind when it comes to renewals. Most of my riders will become free agents, but there are some I may keep - offers are welcomed during transfer season though! |

Same here so his price could be quite high this free agency. |

Good luck getting him, guys. You'll need it since you'll have to go in a bidding war with me

Hmm. he's not as bad as I thought he was. But there's no way you can bribe me out of the bidding with Marco Brus

Evian state transfer policy
Evian-MIAT have stated their transfer policy for the upcoming season. In an unexpected twist, they hope to make up their team only from free agents, and only if strictly necessary, loans. The structure will be as follows:
5 French riders
5 Young French riders
5 Mongolian riders
5 International riders
5 Young International riders
As for the focus of the team, it's believed that they will aim for a climber, a hilly classics rider, a TT specialist, a Cobbled classics rider and a Sprinter from each discipline.

That is a very clear team structure, but transfer season is a mess for those with a clear conception, so watch out not to pay more than necessary just to match that
If your interest in loans returns, feel free to contact us

Interesting. I do hope you will take that loan thingy into consideration again though - It could benefit your team in the long run also, when you get XP 3 riders, whom are better of in the PT.
Some PT teams will need you to help with XP Level 1 rider, so opening up for loaning 3-4 riders could be a good start. I'm hoping that I get a couple of french talents, and those guys needs developping

Those French talents wouldn't include Lecuisinier and Barguil would they? The idea with the free agents is that I'll have money for wildcards and training my Mongolians, but if a loan would benefit the team then I'd be interested. |
