According to Lotto Bellisol rider Jurgen Roelandts has broken his collarbone in the Binche-Tournai-Binche, he's not had much luck with injuries this year. |

I fear for Bennati
No seriously, really bad luck for him, he was certainly a favourite for Paris-Tours.

Apparently Andy Schleck has abandoned in his comeback race!
Kinda understand that.
In Andy's defense, breaking the pelvis isn't something you easily recover from. If I'd break that, I wouldn't sport for half a year, minimal! He's been out for a while, so I didn't expect a win in his comeback race. |

Interesting tweet by Fred Grappe on twitter. A survey performed on pro and elite riders has shown that training improves the energetic efficiency of cyclists (how much power one can produce from a certain amount of potential energy), but that it affects VO2 max in a negative way.
He doesn't explain why though.

I guess missing out on the Giro was the death knell for them.

They've been around a long time. It's possible Acqua e Sapone is in some financial difficulties (they are an Italian company, so knowing nothing else I say it's a reasonable possibility), or even if they are not, they felt that they've established their brand enough over the last 7-8 years or however long it's been to step away.
Will be interesting to see what happens to Garzelli, Di Luca, and Napolitiano. The former two could very well retire, and I'm not sure why anyone would give Napolitiano a ride at this point. Betancur will probably be very well recruited, and for good reason. Anyone need a young rider who can climb like the wind? |

He's been confirmed for AG2R long time ago.

Was he? Missed that. And I'm surprised. Thought he'd be grabbed by one of the deep pocket teams. |

Well they don't have to pay Roche anymore.
