Theres not much point in having spare foodies. What I usually do is get a man into the breakaway (good chance of the mountain jersey everytime ) and then the AI usually always chases it down, 9 times out of 10 catching it on the last hill/mountain. All I would say is make sure you have a full blue bar there because thats when the favourites start attacking - I usually get my GC ready when the peleton is 30 seconds away from the break. |

Thanks Stuart
So is it true that a rider will go faster if he has spare foodies? |

My climbers seem to reach some invisible "limit" on the last kilometers.
The pace is the same as earlier, still they lose ALL blue bar and reddens.
Until they drop because of the red "zone". It's too weird.
They suffer very much on flatter stretches as well. |

Yeah Balverde this happens with my riders and i think having poor fitness and/or bad stamina i think is the problem. |

I dont think so. Its just better to have one spare - to eat - before launching a second attack...assuming you countered successfully and are in the group with the 'big boys'. Obviously sometimes you cant eat them all - for example if theres only 1 or 2 km to go, because the AI will just start the sprint and you'll still be eating. |

Still, if the difficulty is "hard" he won't be able to catch up - as the AI is able to attack for hours and your riders are nowhere near that. I think it's very difficult to know what to do in MO and HI races. If you attack first, you're dead. If you counter you need to be in superb form, and if you don't you need a really superior squad of MO riders.
I think the AI is only attacking when the riders have that green flashing ligth, which makes a rider able to attack for a much longer time. but as player you cant see it coming, you only see it when you acturlly attack. just gotta be lucky. thats why the AI attacks longer I think. |
