I used to get alot 3 to 4 years ago, then I had a knee problem which is still on going over 2 years after I first hurt it. This year has been my worst ever for cycling through lack of time, approx milage I would say for this year so far is 1,000, which isn't much for me at all. But with a new outdoor Velodrome opening in Knowsley (Liverpool) which isnt too far for me and my club (Liverpool Century) could be renting, I have found motivation.
Spent 2 hours on the track last night as they allowed our club to use it before it opens to get a taster for what it will be like, steep embankments and a scary experience at first, but thoroughly enjoyed it

I only took up cycling in a more serious fashion this year when I bought my Canyon. Next year I'll be doing at least 4000 miles I would've thought. |

3 lots of 20km or so a week, every week of the year and a bit more in summer. So about 3000-3500km. |

I have a roadie, its an Avanti Quntum 2.0 with a all Ultegra groupset. Last year I did a tick over 12,000 k's but due to illness earlier this year which lead to a month in bed I will sruggle to match that this year.

I usually manage to get out once or twice a week for an hour or two at a time. It's a bit of squeeze with a young family (reading Jen's Voigt's Twitter feed always makes me feel better as he somehow combines pro cycling with 6 kids!) and is purely limited to a leisure/fitness activity for me.
I am a bit of geeky stato so I do enjoy beating my own climb times or even checking out Strava from time to time if I feel the need to belittle my own aerobic efforts - though I will say Strava's great for identifying any local climbs you might have missed.
Reckon I'm somewhere around 2000km a year which is probably no where near enough given it represents my only exercise these days...

I try to get in 60-80kms a day, every day during the cycling season. But it becomes less when I start running and swimming to train for triathlons to around 30-50. Plus I ride 10kms to and from school 4 days a week. Ideally, I'll do just under 24,000 kms on the bike plus around 1,000 kms of swimming and around 2,000 kms of running during triathlon season. |

I'd not heard of Strava until I'd read your post. I've been using it as my cycle computer has stopped working and Strava gives me some useful data. Thanks for the heads-up. |

Depends on how much is going on for how much I ride, but generally 100-250 miles per week during the season. Right now I'm down at the bottom of that, because of school work. I also race on occasion, not very well (I'm a Cat. 4, for anyone familiar with the US ranking system), and am a smaller guy, so I really enjoy climbing.
My bike is a 2008 Trek 2 Series Frame (aluminum main triangle, carbon fork and seat stays), full SRAM Rival except my brake/shift levers, which are Force, Ksyrium Equipe wheels, and a 3T Pro front end paired to a Thompson Seatpost for the cockpit. Absolutely love it, but I'm going to upgrade my wheels sooner rather than later, probably to a lightweight climbing setup, something like DT Swiss 1450 Mon Chasseral's, Mavic R-Sys, or a custom Chris King/HED build. I'll probably do that next summer though. I'm getting a mountain bike this winter, my school has some awesome trails that I want to hit in the spring. |
