Stage 20:The final Difficulty
Thibaut Pinot is really now happy,Today's Stage isn't very difficult but the gap can be larger due to an attaque from the middle of The race.

We started with a 2 Cat Climb "colle delle sistriere" , and then we go to the mythic Colle delle Finistere with a hard pourcentages of 15%, we have also another 2 Cat climb "colla della Assietta and we finsish in the 4 Cat "Grand Puy.

The Stage:The battle between the top two Climbers

The first to breakaway is Linus Gerdemman who looked to take the Green Jersey,countred from Denifl and then from Truedson with the objective of taking 7 points and winning the stage.
In The First Climb Truedson seemed to be reserving energy and he didn't pay interest to Denifl who win the sprint at the summet but in the first Cat Climb Truedson made some efforts but he got just the third place.Then it goes in the peloton the attack from Nieve doesn't make some reactions also due to the slow tempo made by the Htc Team who rested a little after the relay of regruegui the sprinter, when it comes to the last 15 Km of the climb nieve had a lead of 5 minutes gap then the HTC machine worked, reducing the peloton to 20 rider, and with just Ulissi and Valls, nibali was alone, fuglsang with a team mate but in the last of the peloton.Nibali wanted to gain time and win the giro for second time.He attacked in the climb,Fuglsang stayed calm and trust the Ulissi works who manage to get Nibali but Nibali won't give up.He attacked a second time, countred by Fuglsang, Valls already in difficulty ,Pinot was obligated to counter and there was Nibali.In the breakaway groups who had a lead of 20 minutes, Denifl and truedson have made it in the colla della Assietta and went alone,at the sprint Denifl was the strongest and he get the stage, then the favorite came, it was a good attack from Nibali who succed to throw away Pinot but Pinot make the effort and then Nibali make a second, Unfortunately for him he was too limited and he blow up enable to keep Pinot Tempo and here is the stage standing:

With his three second place in the 3 GT he is the great favorite for the win, The Time Trial of 56 km will fill his Mountain weakness


Vincenzo Nibali(Liquigas)


H'es now the best Climber in the World even if he loose the Giro in the Mountains he do it just to take form in order to win the TDF,last year he showed power with winning the Giro and being third at the TDF 30 secondes after Wiggins, He may should attack in the 7th stage or the last.

Steven Kruisjwik(Rab)


If Nibali and TVG are the great favorites, Kruisjwik is the Great outsiders that can shatter their plan, His abilities in both Time Trial and Climb should be a huge help for him maybe he could do the surprise.

Robert Gesink(BMC)

Medium in the time trial he can benefit from the battle between Nibali and TGV to launch an attack and gain the gap lost in the TT.

Bennati-Van Goolen-Chainel-Brutt-Arashiro-Albasini-Lewis-Barry-luina-Guay-Parrallo
It was Albasini who was the dangerous rider in this Breakaway with a retard of 4'45 ,Team Htc chased him but without result at the final Bennati won the Stage and Albasini get the leader Jersey.

It was a hard stage where the Breakaway had no chance of winning, Nibali was strong in the last 2 kilometers, Tejay made everything to win, we must say that he blow up in the first difficulty and he get back to The Favorites group,It was a luck that the last climb was not to difficult.

Andy Schleck take the second place in general after a bad stage of Poels who wasn't in his top form, he already have done his goals of the season, winning the Tour of basque and of Catalonya and he will ride the Tour for TVG
