Actually, PCM does seem to love integrated Intel cards. I don't know why, since it doesn't make any sense, but I remember valverde saying the game ran perfectly fine on his laptop.
I didn't really trust him at the time (sorry, Valv ), but I've since gotten a laptop from work, a Lenovo T420s, which has a Intel HD Graphics 3000.
Sucks, right? Actually no. The game runs just fine on almost highest settings except for the fact that it crashes halfway through a stage. No lag, though. Turning the graphics down to 3 or 2 prevents crashes, still no lag.
I don't really use it much for gaming, but I can only assume that other games will do far worse on a Intel 3000 card - it really isn't made for gaming.
In terms of mobility vs. gaming, I always try to find a compromise, but if mobility is your main priority you probably won't find laptops with a card that's significantly better than the Geforce one.
I just did a very quick check, and all I could find (that was smaller than 15" and had a better graphic card than 630M) was a no-name laptop from a Danish company which doesn't have the best reputation
Yeah, my Laptop is more of a portable PC though, and has a pretty good GFX card for a laptop. In fact most video games I've tried play on "Ultra" settings, which is nice, but would not be portable (can move around in the house and take it on trips and stuff, but school just wouldn't work) which is what most people want a laptop for.
I've played PCM on my laptop with just the integrated card though, and it still almost played on full settings, but was a bit too laggy
Its a good thing the two best PC games, FM and PCM dont really require great gfx cards but more RAM.
Anyway, enough of my rambling, it will be hard to have both portability, the aspect of gaming, while keeping the price low.
About to buy a new laptop, have found one I´m interesting in but I´m not the smartest guy when it comes to computers
So is this one worth the money? Or can I find something as good as this one for much less money, you think? Will mostly play FM 13/14 and watch/stream movies and live sports.
It costs 8800 Sv.kr which is 1050 €, 888 £, 1400 $ if I´m correct.
I think you should get similarly equipped laptops for at least 100-150€ cheaper.
There are lots of easy-to-use sites allowing you to compare laptop parts, and I guess you have some Swedish that collect many offers in one place.
