I think Kwiatowski will be a great addition to the team!

There's no doubt that Kwiatkowski will be great strengthening to my team, just bit worried about finances. Anyway I just sign him, managed to save €200.000 so far, so should be fine for next season.
Just finished Tour of Utah with Aliu on the 4th place in general and 2nd in young classification, also grabbing mountain jersey with Taciak.
Now at the beginning of Volta a Portugal. Only 81 riders were registered for this race, plus few of good sprinters (Cardoso, Caldeira, Lima) withdrawed after 1st mountain stage which puts me in good position with Matysiak for remaining 3 flat stages.
Portuguese Antero Manhoso in his homeland grabs his first career intermediate sprint win.
Volta a Portugal 2012.

Just finished Volta a Portugal. Another good tour for Aliu - 5th overall, 3rd points and 1st in young riders classification. Also managed to grab a mountain jersey with Taciak.
Taciak's domination in mountain.
There's only Tour of Britain left, few single races and the season is over. Decided to get Khalilov and Rutkiewicz back in shape for ToB as my sponsor demands a stage win on that. However will be impossible if Cav show up.

Mark Cavendish didn't show up on this year Tour of Britain but Ben Swift and Matthew Goss were enough for me, totally dominating the sprints. However I managed to win the last stage just by a whisker, completing my sponsor objective.
Also ended up as a best team and grabbed first two places in mountain ranking (Taciak, Mihailov).
Then Aliu came 2nd and Kiendys was 10th in Ljubljana - Zagreb.
I was lucky in Tour de Gevaudan where there was 11 min successful breakaway with Taciak in it. He managed to defend yellow jersey in 2nd race, where he lost everything but 8 seconds from his 1st race lead.
Lucky - Mateusz Taciak.
Rutkiewicz won Piccolo Giro di Lombardia and Giro del Lazio (Daniel Aliu came 3rd.

1ST SEASON SUMMARY
So the first season is over. I guess it wasn't too bad. Wasn't very lucky with young riders and sponsor's objectives (I was rejected on most races). Also not too happy with promotion to Continental Pro, as I didn't want to be promoted in first 4 season, when my sponsor money is €384.000 a month, but apart from that it was pretty good season. Most importantly I managed to survive and even save some money, plus I have stronger team for next season and that what counts.
Ranking
Sponsor confidence
Finances
Balance: €32.049 --> €227.324
Wages: €35.500 --> €45.100
Difference: -€3.451 --> -€13.100
Transfers
In: Daniel Aliu, Ruben Bongiorno, Mikhaylo Khalilov, Michal Kwiatkowski, Antero Manhoso, Siyabonga Nomvete.
Out: Pawel Charucki, Sylwester Janiszewski, Lukasz Owsian.

Just started new season. Bit disappointed as I was registered only for few races (can't take part in 2.2. races anymore as Continental Pro team and not good enough to win 1.1. or HC's) and rejected on all races I applied for, so it's gonna be tough year both results and financial wise.
Anyway my this season groups looks like this:
Group 1
Leader: Rutkiewicz
Sprinters: Khalilov, Matysiak
Lead out: Kwiatkowski
TT: Kwiatkowski
Team mates: Batek, Gawronski, Honkisz, Ratajczyk
Group 2
Leader: Aliu
Sprinters: Bongiorno
Lead out: Zielinski
TT: Mihailov
Team mates: Kiendys, Manhoso, Nomvete, Stepniak, Taciak |

Due to small amount of races I'm already at the beginning of May. Just finished Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey. Wasn't too bad... well as good as it can be when Tyler Farrar shows up. On 6th stage I even managed to grab a double win thanks to top form of my both sprinters, good train and most of all lack of organisation in other teams.
Rutkiewicz came 7th in overall ranking, Batek managed to keep his mountain jersey, newcomer Kwiatkowski was 4th in youth ranking, and on points Matysiak was 5th and Khalilov came 7th. It looks like Matysiak is my sprinter no 1 in group 1 as Khalilov's speed dropped by 1, and acceleration by 3 since last season. |

Thanks Sutty, I guess you're the only one who follows that story.
I'm after Bayern - Rundfahrt. It was pretty good for CCC, but could be better, as after 4 stage time trial Kwiatkowski was 2nd in general.
Kwiatkowski in Germany.
Unfortunatelly, there was a crash on last few km of the last stage and he dropped to 24th. My best rider was 7th in general (Khalilov), Matysiak came 8th. I won mountain jersey with Rutkiewicz and was 1st in points ranking with Khalilov.
One of the last Khalilov's career win for CCC.
Kwiatkowski ended up 4th in young riders classification, and my team was 2nd.
Now getting ready for National Championship. Quite confident about Kwiatkowski's win in TT, will try a breakaway in road race just like last year. There's only Tour de Slovenie on the way which, I hope, will put my riders in good shape before NC.
9 of my riders contract expire this season.
I decided to extend it with Rutkiewicz, who agreed for €5.000, Kiendys and Kwiatkowski, they all signed 3-year deal, which is till the end of my sponsor deal. Just negotiating with Matysiak now, who I would like to keep in my team, but he wants more money that he's earning now (€4.250), so I might have a look for another Polish sprinter. I will also need somebody to replace Khalilov. In fact I already found a great young sprinter who will be capable of it, just don't know about his financial demands yet.
Others will be gone (5 riders in total), so hopefuly there will be some changes for my team this year.

Thanks for the support.
Internationale Osterreich Rundfahrt wasn't very lucky for me - ended up 17th in general with Rutkiewicz, 3rd in points and 6th in young classification with Kwiatkowski, won a mountain jersey with Aliu and my team ended up 9th out of 25.
Aliu and Kiendys during the time trial.
I guess my next race will be more less the same as it's my WT Tour debut - Tour de Pologne.
Signed two Polish riders already.
A 28-year old time trialist Maciej Bodnar for €2.000.
and 32-year old puncher Bartosz Huzarski for €4.000.
Also managed to extend Matysiak's contract. |

Tour de Pologne wasn't as bad as I thought. And considering fact that there were riders like: Sagan, Goss, Kreuziger, van Hummel and Cunego it was pretty good. Kiendys was 5th in both overall and points ranking. There was very even contest for a mountain jersey but finally it went for Aliu, who also came 4th in young rider's ranking, and when it comes to teams - CCC was 6th.
It's also time to introduce new Khalilov, as I managed to sign that young sprinter that I mentioned before. He's name is Juan Jacob Nunez, he's 23 and pretty good I guess. He wanted €8.000, but after long negotiations he agreed for €6.000.
I guess that's enough transfers for now, as I already went another €1.000 a month into debt, which makes me -€14.000 for next season... unless there will be some good riders left alone after transer window willing to ride for any money.

3 good additions for your team. Nunez will get some wins in the continental races i guess. How's your team doing on the overall ranking? |
