Yorkshire Post, 1st October 2011.
The full team was presented to the tune of the Artic Monkeys "I bet that you look good on the dancefloor", https://www.youtub...GCre4HgPLU possibly used as they are the only musicians likely to be smaller than professional cyclists.
The real work starts now, as the team starts preparing for next years races including the olympics. "There is no conflict with British Cycling, they want to ensure we win gold at home and so do we". When asked if they follow the "Marginal gains" approach of Dave Brailsford, Gaffeff replied "We've started a bit further behind Sky so it's more a requirement of bloody huge gains".
The full riding Roster has now been announced:
Jonathan Bellis
Ian Bibby
Adam Blythe
Graham Briggs
Ed Clancy
Matt Cronshaw
Ben Day
Dean Downing
Russell Downing
Daniel Fleeman
Robert Partridge
Ben Swift
Andrew Tennant
Jonathan Tiernan-Locke
Scott Thwaites
Ian Wilkinson
The Triathletes Alistair and Jonathan Brownlee will join the team from the 1st of September after focussing on the Olympics.
They are looking at the 100% ME development team for any youth riders that will reinforce their squad for next year.
They have applied to the UCI for Pro-Continental status (roughly equivalent to the Championship in Football). |

Business Report (and any tweaks I've made to the game).
Plusnet - White Rose will be setup with a team balance of 20% as its a new squad, I've modified the sponsor model a little as I want more of the constant looking for a sponsor feeling of real cycling. The current sponsor could support a continental or Pro-Continental team, but couldn't support a Pro-tour team meaning I have to find a new sponsor to progress. As part of this I have modded the national level sponsors in the UK so they will accept part sponsorship.
This is a British Team so will be run with full training. I will look to have 2 Doctors (with a budget of £10k between them), 1 Scout with a budget of £10k (Finding young riders will be important to us - we will have to assume the new British riders are in fact from Yorkshire, and will use this to keep the 50% Yorkshire/less blessed lands balance), I will want a ratio of 1 Coach to 8 Riders so will need 3 at the moment. 1xSprinter, 1xTT and 1 Puncher/Stage Races. Max Budget for them, £10k each.
I will play on 0.5 progression (I assume thats meant to be realistic), and on Normal level.
Will now wait for the Pro-Continental decision, what do you guys think? |

I think this team is Pro-Conti, I'm not sure though.
But with riders as Swift, Blythe and Tiernan-Locke, you definitely have an advantage to get Pro-Conti status |

Not the best of luck with the new riders
Also as no major concensus either way on the continental/Pro-Conti debate I let PCM decide and the answer is:
Continental
P.s. Not the final jersey, am still awaiting that from my suppliers

Continental is good, that way you don't have to worry about wildcards and all that, you can just focus on races you can win. With this team, you ought to be proConti next season anyways! |

Haven't got the Jersey or the patch but cannot bring myself to wait any longer. I'll feed in the Jersey later (so no screenshots for the moment).
Will try and do the commentary on races in the style of BBC local radio to start with (no-one else would care about a Yorkshire team IRL yet), once world tour it would change.
I've modded in the Brownlee Brothers. I took two "Future great" 18 year old TT's from my other game and have used their stats with the following add ons:
+2 per year flat
+3 stamina per year (They are Triatheletes after all).
+1 Resistance, Recovery and TT per year.
Their resulting stats are below, Will keep the potential stats to myself but suffice to say they will be good TT's later on.

Well with +1 in TT every year in age of 30 Jonathan will have 76 in TT, so the stats are good

Yorkshire Post, 8th Jan 2012
The cycling team Plusnet-White Rose will start their Season at the Tour of Qatar. Rumours suggest that the Yorkshire-based team have had a number of races turn down their applications, Gaffeff was not worried stating "It's always a problem new teams face, we will have to build up our reputation with the racing community, I'm a little surprised with some of the decisions as some of them would be very winnable."
"Unlikely" was Gaffeffs reply when asked if they could win the race, "however we will be looking to win a stage, alot depends on which other riders show up".
With the new world champion Mark Cavendish meant to be making his debut for Sky in the race, and Welcome to Yorkshire saying this is one of their key objectives for the year, things are looking tough for Plusnet-White Rose. Some true Yorkshire Grit will be needed. |

Agree with the theory but didn't want to make them too good, too fast. As it is by next year Alistair may well be our best timetrialler. Jonathan will have to work to get a spot, which I think is right for a 21 year old.
Will leave some interesting questions for 2016, though |
