of the local newspaper... but surely his result isn't that satisfying.
Matthews takes 14th in the bunch sprint finish in downtown Victor Harbour.

In another photo finish Mr. Matthews held off rival Haussler to secure the teams first ever win! The Aussie fans couldn't have been happier then after seeing him stand on the top step of the podium. What a way to kick off our season!

Santos Tour Down Under: The Queen Stage
Expectations were high since the team was coming in on Matthews' victory and new youth jersey after stage 4, so Lofkvist tried to carry this energy with a gutsy attack on the first climb up Old Willunga Hill. But this was short lived as Movistar brought everything back for a straight up battle on the final climb.
Matthews and Lofkvist, slugged it out for top 5's.
