Welcome back to land of kangaroos.



It's a 6 man morning breakaway with Nathan Haas
who also was a part of the breakaway at the Aussie Championships.



And a nice prize for his efforts as he wins the only climb on the road today
and gets to wear the leader of the KoM jersey tomorrow.



And then he goes on to win the following sprint point and picks up some bonus seconds before the breakaway is pulled back for the sprint finish.



Garmin does most of the work and creates a nice lead out.
But it all comes crashing down once the sprint starts.



It's a massive traffic jam for the lead!



And on the near side of the road Gerald Ciolek finds a gap and just hangs on to take the win away from Koldo Fernández. But Garmin shouldn't be too upset as they do come away with the KoM and beats both Sony and XBox.

The first "hilly" stage and many predict it really isn't hilly at all.



Nathan Haas decides not to put in the effort to protect his KoM jersey,
however he will get to keep the jersey with just one classified climb on route.



The original breakaway is caught with 20kms to go.



And then an attack by Giovanni Visconti. Haussler tries to follow.



XBox and Sony work together to try and pull them back.



And they do must of the work... however the forgot to get Visconti.



And he gets the win and a very small 12 second gap.

after Movistar completes the double with Vasil Kiryienka getting 2nd.
