I've finished adding and moving riders
Next i've got to change 2 jerseys, and 3 sponsors
Then we are good to go, which should be before monday!!
Also anyone got any ideas of what i should do with Contador?
I dont want to leave him with Heineken, but i do want him in a team. Any suggestions welcome.
Simple, pick either Riders 1, 2 or 3.
Here' a hint as to the story, its progression related. No hints as to the riders in each set, except there's three riders in each set, a mix of old, young, WT, CT etc.
Welcome to the official presentation of Goslotto - AvtoVAZ!
Lets start with the riders.
As you can see we have a squad of 16, U23 riders, all from Russia.
Our main focus is on flat terrain, either in sprints or time trials.
We can have a small go on mountains and hills.
This team has been handpicked by our staff. Each rider, we think, has the potential to win.
Leaders;
Grigur Albu
The squads climber. Grigur is the best climber to come out of Russia since Menchov. Already with some good legs, he will grow into the role over time. Unfortunatly we dont forsee him becoming a GC contender, he doesnt look like he can time trial. If i had to compare his future to a rider, i would pick Rodriguez.
Gustaw Paternak
Already an accomplished U23 puncher, Gustaw will be hoping to continue at the next level. His greatest weapon is a surprisingly good finishing speed. His future will be focused around the small tours. Look at Horner, or Gilbert as goal.
Ladin Livshits
The hottest talent in the squad. Very good on the track, Ladin will be looking to transition to road, especially the time trial. Not great over bumps, flanders may be where his future lies. Dare we say the next Cancellara.
Artur Ershov
The sprint leader. Spends most of his time on the track, he is looking to gain recognition on the road scene. Again bumps are an issue, but if he's in the finish he can go for it. Galimzyanov needs to watch out.
Christian Malev
The other sprinter. He would be leader, but his focus for now is, like Ladin, on the Olympics. But late season he will be getting wins for sure. Yet again he struggles uphill. Another future threat, maybe even Cavendish.
Okay, so we are very positive about what our leaders may be capable of, and here are the goals set.
A few tough goals, this is what our season is built round. A few ventures into Europe, at the lower level, as well as Asian races, and a trip to Qatar. Our calender is limited by both skill and budget.
Now, you were promised a surprise. There has been speculation, and it is musical.
For your enjoyment, taking a break from their world tour ....

Thank you
(i know that was brief, but it is a one rider story about Ladin)Edited by TheManxMissile on 03-08-2012 17:03
Hi,
Its been a while since the team presentation now. Hope you liked it. 30 Seconds to Mars were my idea. I am a massive music lover.
Today i write from a hotel in Beijing. Tomorrow i start my road to the Olympics. I'm here as part of the Russian team at the UCI World Cup Classic. I've got a place for the Individual Pursuit, Team Pursuit and Madison.
I am so nervous. I've never ridden such a major event. My training over the winter went well, and i'm in good shape. I havn't been with the Goslotto team for a few weeks, and wont be back with them until March.
8 riders are off in Malaysia and i wish them the best of luck.
I'lll give you daily updates of my progress here. I just hope i dont let anyone down.
Today was nice and simple. Team Pursuit Qualification.
It was me, Evgeny, Markov and Serov.
We were fast, i mean seriously fast. 1st place fast.
So tomorrow we go on to fight for gold agains the Aussies.
Day 2 This was it. The gold medal race. The biggest moment of my, admitedly young, career.
We pushed off hard, our first 1000m was 1.2 quicker than the Aussies. Slowly we started to fade. At the halfway mark we were only 0.3 ahead. 3000m gone, and the gap was 0.1.
Markov swung off, spent, with 750 to go. The Aussies still had four riders. I hit the front as Markov moved away and accelerated. Serov and Evgeny were just sucked along, just able to keep up. 500m to go, the Aussies were level. 400m to go they pulled out 0.2 seconds. 300m to go, it was back to 0.1 seconds. 200m to go, i was still giving it everything, we were level. 100m to go it was anybodies race. 50m to go, the final turn and Evgeny and Serov opened up on my right, sprinting. 25m to go and we left the turn. 2m to go and i looked to the left to see the Aussies and the timing board. 0m to go ... ... ... ... ... YES!! We did it, we pulled it back to win by 0.1 seconds. Our time was 3.58.993. A good time for our first competitive ride together.
We took Gold!
(wish i could find a pic of that team with gold, but i cant)
Day 3 I began early with the individual pursuit. I was still stiff from the team event, but got through to the final in fourth. Unfortunatly i couldnt improve in the evening, lodging a solid fourth place, 4 seconds behind the winner.
Day 4 Madison qualifiers in the morning. This 3 event schedule was tough, and i just managed to qualify in 3rd from Heat 2. Things improved in the afternoon, as Ershov and i managed to get the Bronze medal.
Being on the Podium twice was a great feeling, and puts in the running for the olympics.
So a successful 4 days in Beijing. Two medals and good performances, and London is now in reach. If i can put in a good performance in London next month i will be there in August. Of course this means i wont be road racing for another month at least. LadinEdited by TheManxMissile on 03-08-2012 21:09
Hello People;
General Announcement
Despite moving to pcm11 to get going, i've decided to wait until pcm12 is fully functioning to start my main story, mostly for readership, and partly because i think pcm12 will be a better game
It will be a one rider story, but not Ladin. Despite being interesting i wont hve enough motivation.
I have decided who my new rider will be, and his team. But thats all still to come.
