I think I agree with most on here, TJ will probably lead BMC in next years Giro, then come and be the help for Cadel in the TdF. The following year TJ will lead BMC in TdF. But we are assuming BMC doesn't go buy someone.
Looking at that though, who is in their prime as a GC contender for BMC to go buy? I don't think they would go after either Schlek, or Contador. Froome maybe, but he is already linked to other teams. Sanchez, Gesink, Nibali and Wiggens won't be leaving their teams. And are riders like Taaramae or Kruijswik anymore ready than TvG?
Also a concern for me with TvG, is the tempo, like Evans he seems to like a steady pace, but even Evans would attack from time to time (though not that great), I haven't seen TvG ever attack on a climb.
Nibali is leaving Liquigas actually, and BMC was one of the teams interested in signing him. It seems that he'll sign for Astana though.

Wow that is surprising to me, really thought Liquigas was going to be his team. Thought Astana was going to be the likely landing spot for Froome?

I really doubt Froome will leave Sky anytime soon.

I hear they have him locked up in a tower near St. Albans till the Olympics. There's a blue bug-zapper light in one corner and a round table of pharmaceuticals in the other. It's a strange-shaped room and he is happy there.

If it was you in that room instead of Froome, you should definately take the pharmaceuticals

He's too fast for Lynch. He's more of an Oliver Stone kind of rider.

how is this even up for debate?
obviously (if he stays) TJ will be their next leader
Cadel's saying in the media over here that he wants a next-year assault on the TDF, before handing over the reins to TJ
Im not really saying it is up for debate at all. I'm just asking around. And yea I think Cadel shuld give it one more crack! Just a last ditch effort to become one of a handful of riders to win the big race twice! It'd be an amazing finish to his career!

Yea I agree. Being Australian, I hope Cadel does well and maybe even wins it next year before he retires but unfortunately I think his window is small and is closing by the day. It'd be good to see Van Garderan lead for the Giro and I think (and hope) he'll be a good leader in the future

well at 99 votes and looks lika a big majority of you say Van Garderan will be the next leader. Hey what do you reckon Tejay's stats should be for PCM. and also where he and Cadel will end up next year in the Tour.

It's a bit early to start speculating in next year's Tour already now, don't you think? Because it's almost impossible to predict without knowing the route, how he'll do in races until then and stuff like that.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure Astana have already siigned Nibali

I think Cadel just had a bad week with some health problems. I think they will be like Andy and Frank in 2011 tour, with Cadel in Andy's place and Teejay in Frank's place, in the team, of course. |

I wonder where TVG had ended if he hadn't had to help Cadel all the time...
