It's bad form to 'attack' the lanterne rouge into Paris. In any case, an attack is easy to mark, A few years ago Bernie Eisel was running second to the great Wim Vansevenant. He fell off the peloton (no doubt not deliberately), Vansevenant followed him, and they crossed the line together, 1'08" behind the stage winner. |
